A frog in the rain

Today we have a special dedication post to my bestie Sarah at Spellbinding Nails.  It is not the first dedication to her nor will it be the last.  She inspires me to try more difficult designs and pushes me to do better manis.  The idea for this mani came from her designs.  She likes to do a lot of critter designs in the grass.  So I came up with the idea from her.

First up, the silly bottle shot.

This is Bettina Green (love the name!), Soflajo Enchantment and China Glaze Holly-day.

I started with Green.  This is the color of Spring when all the leaves are new, the grass is growing and flowers are blooming.  Here are your shots.

It was raining when I took these, so no sun shots.  But isn't this a pretty green?  I just love it.  Next I stamped with Konad special polish in white and black and Cheeky Mega plate 1.  Here is a shot of that step.

See the frog is holding an umbrella!  Now, I added a slight layer of Soflajo Enchantment, which is a color change topcoat and topped it off with my funky french in Holly-day.  Here are the cool results. The sun came out for this part!

See I added the sparkle to represent the rain!  It reminds me of an old Bugs Bunny cartoon with the singing frog who always had an umbrella.  I am absolutely in love with this mani.  I hope you guys like it too!

I want to take a moment to say a public thank you to A Plethora of Nails who found me a blog sale so I could complete my Barielle set from my last post.  Go check out her blog everyone-it's really great!  Thank you so much for putting a smile on my face, Bethany!  Now I just need a Chanel Khaki Brun and my life will be complete!

I hope this mani comes close to the awesomeness that is Sarah.  I had fun coming up with this design.  Love the sparkle in this!

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
