Found out that my coworkers are demanding a meeting with the higher ups. Sh*t.  They are complaining that no one understands them and what they do (I'm still trying to figure that out), they are saying they don't have enough time to do their work as they are pulled to do clinics (wah-I do three) and one lady is leaving so how will we ever make it thru the day?

Oh puh-lease.  I am going to do my damndest to not go.  I have a clinic but am told they will have this meeting after that.  I may just have to conjure up a good old fashioned emergency patient, or migraine, hack up a lung something so I don't have to sit there and listen to them freaking whine about what they do when they don't do a damn thing.  It should not take three people to do the job of one.  If Stupid wasn't coddled and was made to pull her own weight we wouldn't have this problem.

She better not be making more money than me. Sadly, I think she is.  I'm still trying to figure out how to find this out and demand I get at least the same amount as I bust my ass and she stares into space.

How is that fair?  Now before you say life isn't fair and all that crap.  Put yourself in this situation.

My cats are shedding bad.  They were throwing up a ton, but I've been brushing them once a day and so far it's been working.  My new betta does a happy dance when it's time for brine shrimp.  It's the cutest thing ever.  Oh and he made me a bubble nest, so he's happy!  That makes my day.

So these two jerks on Instagram decided to tell me that they don't like my nails and this looks puffy. Oh but they're sorry and I do great designs.

WTF? That's a veiled insult if I've ever seen one.  It's a shadow on my nails for one stupid and two, I don't tolerate that sh*t on my account.  They were deleted and blocked.  So no more of my fab for them.

Next I just did tape and dots.  Figured since Gemini stains like a beeyotch, I'd use it on top of another polish.

Enchanted Polish Taro Milk Tea

I'm on my fourth post in a row people.  I'm running out of things to talk about!

Got back from my parent's house.  Cleaned my house big time, then washed those things you don't wash very often.  Like your bedspread, blankets etc.  Yeah I've been all sorts of productive.  No idea where it's coming from, but I'm taking advantage of it.

Forgot to tell you, the day I left, my bank calls me and tells me that someone hacked my credit card. Yeah that's something you want to hear when you're about to travel out of state.  They immediately turned off the only card I have and said they will send me a new one.  Great. I guess it's one good reason to be broke all the time. They tried to charge $500 and I only have that much in my bank on payday for about five minutes.

So HAHA to you hacker beeyotch.

It's more a pain than anything else, as the bank gives you the money back as it's fraud.  But having to redo all those sites that I use for automatic bills and stuff with the new credit card is just time consuming.

Oh and I went back to work yesterday.  Not sure I even said one word to Stupid.  Nope I did.  I asked her if she wanted me to vacuum under her desk.  They got me a vacuum because for some reason, we cannot get housekeeping to do it.  Our carpet was brand new.  Not any longer.  I put that vacuum together and went to town.  And got paid for it.  Sometimes that's better than dealing with the public.

Now I did this mani before I left for New York.  There is no art.  Just a swatch.

Another Parallax Polish Sneak Peak

Today I have another from the upcoming disease awareness set from Parallax Polish.  I didn't have time to do any nail art so it is strictly a fabulous swatchfest.

Remember how I told you I was back on the online dating site? I actually saw a commercial for it for the first time. The one I use is a free site that you can upgrade by paying to get other features.  So the commercial went like this.

"Why pay to meet someone, when you can do it for free?"  Yeah, not so sure that's the way I'd go with the commercial, but yeah I couldn't believe an app has a commercial.  What is the world coming too?

After three years of being on that site, I may have finally met someone worth my time.  I've already told him that if he messes with me that he'd become fodder for this blog and he has graciously (or not) accepted that challenge.  I actually had my first real date ever.  The kind where you are picked up and you actually do stuff?

Yeah. It was nice.

First, we went to a coffee house in a hip part of town that reminded me of my Goth party days when I was much younger.  Where the normal people mix with what I lovingly call the Freaks.  People with all different color hair, piercings etc. I saw so many cool hair colors, I was all sorts of jealous.  We then walked around that part of town then went to this cemetery that has Civil War Confederates buried there.

That was a cool experience.  To see gravestones from the 17 and 1800s.  Next, we went to the Fine Arts museum.  I have never been there, I am not one who understands art and paintings.  The museum was showing floral paintings by Van Gogh, Degas, Cezanne, and others that I couldn't even tell you about.  Some were very nice, others were just weird.  Like I said, I am not an art person so I have no clue or concept of these things.  When I went to college the first time, I had to take an art appreciation class.  I got through it by cheating.  Wrote notes on how to tell them apart.

Yeah, I was not a good student then! HAHAH!

It really was a nice day and I enjoyed myself big time.  Cross your fingers people! And since I know he is reading this-thank you for such a nice time.

I'm not sure how to describe this one.  I don't think it's a holo, but may have a tiny bit of holo sparkle added. It's a gorgeous blue with tons of shimmer.  This will be on sale June 1st with the other two that I showed you last post.

Parallax Polish Sneak Peak

I made the drive to my parent's house yesterday.  The closer I got, the more sad I got as I saw different things and places that reminded me of my dad.  Tomorrow is his official burial. I saw the ice cream place where he used to drive us after dinner to go get soft serve cones with sprinkles.  He always got vanilla and told the kid behind the counter to do as many rings of ice cream as he could and "don't be a company man about it."  My dad loved his vanilla.

Then I get inside the house and there's his stuff, and his pictures and paper on the fridge with his handwriting on it.  Yeah it's not been easy.  Later today mom and I have to go get the flowers to put on his casket when he is buried.  I didn't know I had to do that.  That is really going to be difficult.  I knew that this was going to have me grieving all over again and it is.

Just wanted to let you guys know what's going on as my posting will be spotty.  I had a few manis ready to go, just needed to type them up, but haven't done any fresh manis after that.  So there will be days with no posts at all.

I slept in until 0800 this morning! That's crazy talk for me.  Normally, I'm up at 0445 without fail as my cats refuse to let me sleep as that's breakfast time for them.  Sam has been throwing up a ton lately.  He is acting normal otherwise, so I am hoping it's just crazy hair ball stuff.  Besides licking himself, he licks Checkers as well when they are cuddling in their chair.  I've already told myself that if it is something more serious, that I won't put any more money into him.

Yes that's a harsh thing to say, but he is 12 and he's had a damn good life with me and I just can't fathom spending a butt load of money if he has something really wrong with him like cancer.  He hasn't thrown up food or hairballs, just clear stuff.  So I can't be sure of anything but for the fact that he is acting like himself, eating drinking and purring.

We will see when I get home in a couple of days how he is.  I told my neighbor to keep an eye on him while I'm gone.

So there are four girls who each helped Erin create a color.  It's for different disease awareness.  I don't know what they will be named, but right now the one I helped make is called Fingers.  It's the dark one.

You all know how I love me some dark and vampy.  Keeps me company under the rock from whence I came!

Essie Wrap Me Up, Polish My Life Don't Snap My Dragon

Remember when I told you it was nurse's week and the article in the paper? Well my boss had come into our office totally apologizing as she had forgotten the entire week.  She was asking my coworkers to throw a cherry tomato at her for punishment.

They all said no.

Then one of them said, "Get Fingers, she'll do it!"

So yeah, I threw that sucker so hard and it hit my boss right in the dent at the base of your neck. Bulls eye.  I was just sad that it didn't burst open.  I didn't even have to think about it.  I just went with it. My coworkers were all standing there laughing and I just turned my chair around and went back to work.

Don't ask me to do something if you're not prepared for me to do it!  You have to know there was no way I was gonna pass that up.

What would you have done?

HEHEHE. My mom called me evil-but said she liked that I did it!

OMG! How awesome is this? BUT let me just say that this Essie is a PITA to apply.  Streaky, brush pulling mess. You have to just sort of glob it on and carefully level it out.  Since I'm not a matte freak, I don't know if it's just this Essie or mattes in general. I have heard though it's the Essie.

Next I did some tape and added studs then another layer of Unicorn.  The studs fell off by the next day at work. I am not a good stud wearer-I refuse to use glue.  Too hard to get off.

I kind of like how this came out.  I did a pretty good job of centering the point of the orange.  That always rocks my world!

NCLA II

Remember when I told you I had spent three plus hours spraying the weeds in my driveway? Well this is the mani I did in between the first spray session and the second spray session.  It's also the first of the set of nudes by NCLA that I'm wearing.

The day this post goes up is actually my mom's birthday.  She will be in Canada at our camp like she always does.  I'm so jelly! I wish I could go more than once a year.  Anywho, she's already told me that she doesn't want to celebrate this year, same thing I felt for my birthday.  It's also a few days before we will actually be burying my dad.  I'll be headed up to NY on Wednesday for it.

It's going to be a very difficult day.

Yesterday at work was hell.  One of those days where you are so busy, you don't know if you're coming or going.  I didn't even get the work done that I normally have done.  One of the doctors I work with, wife passed away and we have cleared his patient list for two weeks.  Let's just say that when he got the call to come home, I was instantly back in January reliving the call about my dad.

So I was trying to be good and get these people new appointments etc while trying to hold my own sh*t together.

You all know that I flip people off all the time especially when I'm driving.  Well driving home from work, I flipped off the car in front of me not realizing the Man (cop) was right next to me in the next lane.  Dammit! My cop radar failed me that day.  Of course he had to get behind me and run my plates. Luckily, I have nothing on my record so he had no reason to pull me over.

Of course his being behind me meant I had to go the speed limit.

Damn I hate that!

Now I did this days ago and am thinking this is actually a purple stamp called Violet, but hell, I'm getting to that age where I can't remember sh*t after about an hour! HAHAH!

You all know I love this design.  I love the swirls and intricacies and I love showing off that yes world I can stamp better than my fail a few posts ago!!!!!!

Lime Crime Crema de Limon and EP Seven Nation Army

This is the third of four posts I am writing today.  This is also the mani I did after the mani fail of last post. So yeah, it ain't some technical difficult design.  I wasn't going there.

It's been hot as hell out there. As my mom was saying yesterday, we went from freezing cold to freakin hot.  No in between.  I hate that.  It's too early for AC.  I like that time frame where I have my windows open and it's still chilly at night.  It ain't happening right now.

I've put myself back on the online dating site.  Not sure I told you guys but after dad passed away, I deleted my whole profile.  I couldn't take the rejection and the stupidness anymore.  I've already gotten over 150 guys who 'want to meet me.'  And if I only pay X amount of dollars, I can find out who they are.  Um thank you, but no.  I figure if a guy really wants to meet me, he will message me like a normal dude.  Not just click on a button that says do you want to meet her?

I'm not sure I'm ready for it at all.

My new betta is getting all sorts of happy in his new home.  He knows when it's time for his brine shrimp.  It's like he's doing a happy dance at the front of the tank. He loves the brine shrimp.  I am still trying to figure out how much to actually feed him.  I mean even the tiniest bit of frozen stuff thaws to a billion shrimp.  I know they are tiny and I have no idea how many bettas are supposed to eat.

Anyone out there know anything about this?

See how my skin looks all glossy and moisturized? Yeah that's from using hand scrub, and dishes scrubber getting the last post's blue off my skin.

Next I simply added glitter.  Damn I wasn't thinking.  I went from blue stained fingers to having to get glitter off.

Enchanted Polish Malibu and a Fail

Those that have been with me here for a long time know damn well that I'm way too lazy to redo a mani and if I do what I call a fail, I simply suck it up until my next scheduled mani change.  Well this one was so bad that I took it right off.

Note to those out there that own this polish-it stains BIG TIME.  I ended up with smurf fingers.  So I was already pissed that I had ruined a mani, this doubly pissed me off as now I had to scrub and scrub to get the blue off so I could do another mani.

Yeah that will never happen again.

You know I like to tell you what music I'm digging at the moment.  Right now it's Iggy Azalea. Specifically the songs, F*ck Love, Just Askin', Iggy Szn, Lady Patra, Murda Bizness and lastly Pu$$y.  That last song is my favorite. I have it on repeat.  It's an awesome beat, I just wish it were longer than a two minute song.  It's on her early EP before her real CD.  You can download it off Amazon.  I promise you it's awesome.

My cat Checkers is lying sleeping on the floor next to me.  She doesn't feel good.  She needs to poop and hasn't been able to.  I've tried getting her to drink more water. I tried a warm cloth on her bum. Nothing yet.  I can tell she doesn't feel good.  Plus she's puking.  Cross your fingers people that she goes soon! I hate when my baby doesn't feel good.

Oh I got in the set of nudes from NCLA.  I've worn one so far, but I've swatched on paper all of them and the brushes suck big time.  Wonky with fibers sticking out.  For $16 a pop, I expect a good brush. Oh and I didn't realize that two were shimmers.  Now I love me some shimmers, but I thought these were supposed to be skin tone colors?

As far as I know, there ain't any race out there whose skin is shimmer?

It is a stunning blue. But the staining is so horrific, that I honestly am not sure I'd ever wear this again.  That's a sad statement right there people.

Here's where I ruined it.  Back when I first started this blog my formula was just to stamp with a regular polish and add my funky.  I thought I'd do that here, but I didn't take the time to do it well and it smeared and I ruined it.

This also does not show this Essie well.  It's a deep blue with nice shimmer, but this just looks black.

I used a tire track stamp design by MoYou.  It's one called Biker 4.  I guess with this smearage, it's like I really WAS run over by the ugly truck! HAHAHAH!

This was removed right after this picture was taken.  Shortest mani in history.

Chaos and Crocodiles Wishing Star Sky, Reconnaissance and Enchanted Polish November 2014

Damn I'm tired, worn out and sore as hell.  I tackled my long double car wide driveway yesterday.  I didn't just do every square inch, I did it twice! I'm telling you, that crap had better start killing those weeds! It actually is starting to do something out there.  The first time took me three and a half hours with my little sprayer.  The second time, I mostly concentrated on the sides as that's where the heavy weedage is.  Oh and I had my headphones on and was singing and grooving while spraying.  My neighbors were probably getting a giggle out of it.  But it's all good!

Yes I just made that word up.

I wasn't done after that.  Oh no.  Next I sprayed my front porch down trying to get rid of all the pollen that was ruining my mom's stain job.  I haven't been out there yet this morning, but I'm sure all it did was now speckle yellow instead of clearing it off.

It had been a nice week at work while Stupid was off.  I'm not looking forward to tomorrow when she's back. Last week was the week of the nurse.  My newspaper always does an insert about it with all the employers thanking us nurses etc.  Well this time they had an article about this local nurse navigator and what she does.

Now this is my job title as well as Stupid and my coworkers.  You know what this article proves? That what I'm doing is roughly the same thing that she's doing.  Which just proves that I'm doing it right and not just talking smack.  I said something to one of the doctors about it and he simply said that there will come a day where they'll have to do  things different or leave.

I cannot wait for that day.

Chaos and Crocodiles Forgotten Path and Enchanted Polish Hot Chocolate For Unicorns

Those that have been paying attention and know the colors in the new Chaos Unicorn set, should know what color I would gravitate towards first.  And yes once again, I love me some brown.

Big time.

I've no idea why I love brown so much. Why do you love your favorite color so much?

A few posts ago, I had told you my betta was sick.  Well he did die the next day.  I went to the pet store and totally drained all the betta info out of one of the clerks there and she told me that it didn't sound like I had done something wrong.  She thinks I just picked out an older betta who was going to die no matter what.  So this time, I picked out a tiny baby one. Still doesn't have a name yet, am thinking Opal, but it's a he.  He is white with iridescent scales and flashes different colors depending on the light.  He's really beautiful and not sure of me yet.  I'm told he will grow bigger and hopefully last a year or two this time instead of a few months.

Crawled under my house yesterday into my crawl space.  Man I hate doing that.  But several times a year, the air conditioner needs to be cleaned and flushed with fresh water.  I'm not paying some yahoo dude tons of money just to come do that when I can do it myself.  When they installed it a few years ago, I made the guy show me how to do it to save me money.  You'll know if you don't do it as the air coming out of the vents won't be cold and your house won't cool off.

They are calling for high 80s this week, so I had to get ready for that.  Even though it's against my principle to run the AC before summer hits, I can't be in a hot house.

Oh one last thing. I bought me a textbook on Embryology.  Not because I care about kids (don't have that mom gene), but because it fascinates the hell out of me that we start out as one cell and grow to be a human.  How does it know to do that? How does this cell know to be a nose and this one to be a hand?  Yeah, I'm seriously into learning that.

Now these are touted as light holos, but as you can see, they still show that linear awesomeness, it's just not as in your face as the Secret Agent set.  I think this is stunning.

Essie Just Stitched

Remember when I told you that I caved and bought the Essie Cashmere set? Well today is the first post with one of those Essie.

Now the other day, I told you about Stupid just coming back from vacation.  Well it seems that after taking a sick day and then working (air quotes here) for four days, she's off on another vacation for a week.  WTF people? How does one get two vacations a week apart when one does not do any work to earn one?

I've told you how she doesn't get off her a** to do a clinic.  Well get this-she is supposed to do a clinic on Friday and every Friday she comes up with something to get out of it.  Most adults are responsible enough to know that if they have clinic at let's say 1pm, that they need to take their lunch beforehand.  Well, it seems this is one thing Stupid uses to get out of some of that clinic.  Oh I haven't had my lunch yet.  Really? Do you have to have someone hold your hand and tell you it's time to go to lunch?  

I feel sorry for the person who's clinic it is having to put with this every Friday.  I do believe I will be speaking to the boss about this, but little will be done as always.
