Nine Zero Twinkle Lights, Liquid Sky Lacquer Autumn Thyme

Tomorrow, I shall be heading to Myrtle Beach.  One of my favorite places on earth.  Have been going there my whole life.  I just love the neon lights and all the kitschy touristy stuff.  No I wouldn't want to live there, but oh yeah I love to visit.  This year my job let me take a whole week off.  Before I usually was only there like four days.

Mom and I have tons of shopping and ocean waves listening to do. I won't promise that there will be posts to read while I'm gone.  It's going to depend on if I get the time.  If not, just know I'll be back of course!

Got a quick Annoying story for you.  I haven't had any lately as I've been ignoring her and she was moved out of my office.  They hired a new nurse (not new to nursing-new to us) and they had Annoying train her as it was her doctor the new hire was going to take over.  That doctor hates Annoying and begged for a different nurse.

Anywho, instead of training her, Annoying stated and I quote, don't touch anything, just follow me around and watch what I do.  May not be an exact quote as I wasn't there, but that was the drift. So this poor new hire pulled my coworker into an exam room to b*tch.  The new hire then went to the boss regarding this as well. When I heard the story, my reply was, that new nurse needs to grow a pair and tell Annoying off.

I then happened to leave the office to do stuff and when I got back, my office mates had assumed that I had spoken to Annoying about this.  They were all like did you tell her off? I replied nope, not getting involved, it's not my clinic she's messing with.

Oh and yesterday my other coworker who does breast cancer got to go to the fanciest restaurant in town for lunch.  She gets to go every year while me and my other coworker don't.  It's a damn pink world people and the rest of the more deadly cancers remain ignored.  Yes that's my rant and I stand behind every word.

You will never believe what you are about to see. An actual glitter polish that once I saw it, I HAD to have it and I actually love it.  Now you all know how much I hate glitter and the two bottles I do own are black and white glitters.  I never ever thought I'd find a glitter I'd actually want to wear.  This is that one.

Although next time I need to either do more layers, or wear it over white which I almost did. I present to you Nine Zero Twinkle Lights.

Sadly, the sun was not out for this. It's still a super gorgeous green holo though! Yes my nails are wonky.  I have since cut them down, reshaped them and while in Myrtle Beach am planning on nekked nails and oiling the hell out of them.

Makeup Geek Taupe Notch, Daydreamer

My mind just went blank.  What the hell was I going to talk about today?

I'm seeing more and more blogs end.  People's lives get in the way, passions change or they just do something different.  My blog will be five years old in May.  That's a long time in blog years as most of the older ones have stopped blogging but for a few of the bigger ones.

People who read blogs make up fantasies about that person's life.  It makes me wonder what you guys think my life is like just from reading my posts.  I bet you'd be very surprised to learn the truth.

Maybe someday I'll tell you.

Would it ruin the allure? Would it ruin the perfect facade you've created in your mind as to what I'm like?

I love to watch the TV show Snapped.  I think I've told you before that I am a voice person.  I have to like your voice if I'm going to date you etc.  On the show Snapped, the female's voice is just awesome to me.  I've been listening to her for years.  I made up a picture in my mind based on that voice what I thought she would look like.

Then I saw reality and I was totally wrong.  I had pictured her one way, but in real life she looks completely different.  Now when they show her face while talking, it seems like the voice is real, but the person is just lip syncing.  Does that make sense? I won't say it's ruined the show for me, but it's going to take a while for me to come to grips with it and change the picture I had in my head.

It's just like if you read a book and you picture a character a certain way then they make a movie and the person playing that character is not what you pictured in your head. Does it ruin the movie for you?

I don't want to ruin the fantasy you have about my life if you even have one.  Dayum.  I'm all sorts of full of myself even thinking you guys put that much thought into it.

This was a purple fest.  I was even wearing purple head to toe that day at work.  I was all matchy matchy.  This is Makeup Geek Dragonfly, Caitlyn Rose and Motown.  Ardell Natural lashes, which I am loving but they are so fragile I ruined a pair in less than a week.

I try to make a pair last a week and usually I can but these are going to require extra special effort.

Makeup Geek Dragonfly, Lemon Drop

Windows 10 lasted a whole ten days on my computer.  I just couldn't deal with all the changes, the bugs and just didn't like it at all.  I went ahead and got my Windows 7 back.  What that did was corrupt several of my files and one I can't find to uninstall so I can reinstall.

I plan on calling Samsung this coming week, tried to do an online chat but they aren't open on weekends.  I know I can do the restore option, but I think I will lose the pictures I have uploaded since then for my blog etc.  I will keep you posted!  Just know I am happy to have my 7 back!

I've been keeping a list of songs to get on my iphone.  You guys know how much music means to me. I'm still old school and usually buy CDs, but this time, I just went with the songs I wanted and downloaded them.  At $1.29 per song though, I think I just spent about $20.  But it's all good.

What did I download you ask?

A BUNCH of Howard Jones songs as I cannot believe I don't own his CD.  I love love love him and am mad at myself for not having any to listen to the past years.   Same goes with Talking Heads-cannot believe I don't have a CD of theirs. Got a bunch of John Mellencamp AKA Cougar.  You know that song Jack and Diane of his? No I didn't download that one, but that song always gives me flashbacks to 8th grade and a sleepover at a friend's house.

That song had just come out yes people, I'm old, and we were playing that song and playing spin the bottle. There was only one boy there so he got to kiss all of us.  It is quite silly to think about now. But he must have felt like the sh*t kissing all us girls.

Let's see what else.  Oh two AC/DC songs.  Back in Black and You shook Me All Night Long. Classics.  As I sit here, I'm chair dancing to Howard Jones. So worth the money.  Lastly, I got Run DMC Christmas in Hollis.  Was in the movie Die Hard, which is my all time favorite movie and I always said I've GOT to get that song and it just sat on my iphone list.

Well no more!

Did you know the evil villain in that movie passed away? Made me so sad when I saw that.  I love him in Die Hard.  Yippee Kiyaa Motherf*cker.

All right let's do what we came here for.

Enchanted Polish October 2015, Chaos & Crocodiles Narwhals Love Donuts

To those of you out there who know what colors these are by the title alone-you should get a kick out of the irony.

It's supposed to be 65F outside today and tomorrow.  I do believe that means most of the snow will be melted away.  I just didn't have the energy to play shovel the stones in my driveway yesterday, it's on my to do list again today, but I've got to tell you, I ain't feeling it.

Two weeks from the day I'm writing this, I'm headed to Myrtle Beach for my annual trek there.  It'll be the first time without my dad.  One thing we loved to do was go to this place called Overtime and play the trivia game. It's one where you play against people in the bar and across the country.  Dad was the one who always knew the answers.  Mom and I knew very few of them.  We usually were the only ones playing in the bar, and got a kick out of seeing our family name on the screen. Plus because we were the only ones playing, we got excited that we were in first place.

I told Mom it's best we don't go this year as we won't get any answers right!

Remember about my pay check fiasco? I happened to be in the elevator with my boss and she started defending the chick who messed up my pay.  Saying stuff like it must have been a computer glitch, that they just can't figure out what happened etc.  I told her how I had to walk all those city blocks and her response was, at least it's fixed now right?

Sh*t.

What this tells me is that the chick who screwed me isn't getting the a** reaming she deserves.  I called my very high up friend's secretary and told her about this conversation and she was dumbfounded like I was.  All she could tell me again was that there are changes coming she can't tell me about, just know they will be held accountable.

That's all I'm asking people.

Makeup Geek High Wire, Cosmopolitan

So I spent $5 on a dozen eggs the other day.  I called my mom up to tell her and she laughed at me. You see, these are eggs from cage free, vegetarian fed, cruelty free chickens.  I donate to the Humane Society every month and I've seen the egg factories and how the chickens are packed so tightly in cages, they can't even move.

I find that to be so wrong.  So when I saw these eggs I thought I'd try them.  Mom asked if they tasted any different.  All I can say is not very much.  The yolk is almost orange and it does have a more egg flavor, but if I had a regular egg and this egg in a taste contest, I probably couldn't tell the difference.

Not sure I will buy them again.  I do like the premise of it, but $5 a dozen is a lot when a normal dozen is $2.  A large family certainly couldn't afford that at all.  They should pass regulations that chickens need to be cage free.

OH I totally forgot to tell you! I get paid every other Friday.  You can check your pay the day before. I always look at mine to make sure it's correct.  Imagine my outrage when I looked, it was only half of what I should have gotten.

I started freaking out big time.  It said I had thirty hours of unpaid time, that I had ten hours of education time and none of those things happened.  Also all my clock ins and outs were gone for those two weeks.  WTF!!!!

Now you see, one of the VERY high ups at my hospital loves me. I called her secretary crying and freaking out about this.  She looked at my time card and freaked out too.  You see, there is a new person there who isn't supposed to be touching my time card as she has screwed it up before but this time she screwed me to a whole new level.

The secretary called the head of Payroll and got them to cut me a check for the difference that I was owed. Now reality is, you don't normally get this kind of treatment.  You would normally have to wait until the next pay period to get what was owed you.

I was told I could pick it up at 3pm.  I had to walk six city blocks up then two blocks to the left to get to the Payroll department.  Yes it was a damn long haul! I got there and they were like you weren't supposed to be here until tomorrow.  But they finally gave it to me and said I must have been working there a long time to get this kind of special treatment.

I felt like saying, I have friends in high places, but I didn't.  I was told that this person will never touch my pay roll again and that "there are things happening" I can't be told about.  I hope that means my boss will go and this new chick will go.  My boss should have checked behind her to make sure my paycheck was correct.

Ain't no telling who else's she's messed up!

The sun has been out ever since the big snow so a ton of the snow is gone.  When my neighbor's dad plowed my driveway in the dark, he ended up pulling up the stone with the snow and now when the snow melts, I will have tons of rocks on my lawn.  So what I've been doing, is short periods of time shoveling the stone off the snow banks back to my driveway.

I figure it's much easier to do this than pick the stone one by one from the grass.

What that also meant was once again, I hurt myself and pulled my left groin muscle some kind of bad.  My foot is better, but now my groin has me limping.  Yes I am a mess.

I think I've told you before that I don't watch the news, I read the newspaper.  Ever since 2004, I read the paper daily.  Well a couple of days ago, I'm eating my lunch at work, reading my paper, which is my habit when all of a sudden, I saw a photo that had me screaming.

What was it you ask?

My ex husband.

Yes, my ex husband whom I haven't seen or talked to since 2007 was there in my newspaper.  You see he gave up his great benefited job to open up his own e-cigarette store.  The paper was talking about how the state is trying to ban smoking these in public places just like regular cigarettes are banned.  So there he was blowing smoke literally for this article and he was quoted as well.

Why they picked him out of the thirty or so of these stores around I've no idea.  I texted my mom a picture and we both had a giggle as he's looking rough and I've still got it.

At least that's what I'm telling myself.

Just a blast from the past that I did not need to be reminded of.  Thing is, he's the one ex that I no longer talk to. I'm one of those that still remain friends with exs.  Even my first ex husband and I are still friends.  But this ex did me wrong big time.  Ruined my credit, cheated on me when I was in NY when my mom was very sick, had her in my house oh and the jewel I remembered yesterday about him?

When I got back from two months in NY taking care of my mom, the cable bill had a porno charge on it.  Well we didn't watch porn and he denied watching it.  I called up the company and yelled at them making them remove the charge all while he was sitting there next to me.

Of course, I now realize he did charge it and let me believe otherwise and I was too stupid to see reality.

Yeah, so I didn't need to see him in my paper.

Enchanted Polish Neptune, Holiday 2015

Update time! So I told you last post that the blizzard had just ended leaving me with 20 inches of snow.  The next day I went outside to play and dust pan the walkway and the end of my driveway. Since my cats are the most spoiled ones on earth, after finishing the walkway, I went out back to clear them a path so they could see the bird feeder again.

As I was doing it, I fell down the three steps I have, my foot getting stuck in between them and falling flat on my back.  As I laid there, I realized that if I had really hurt myself like unconscious wise, no one would know I was out there. That's one scary freakin thought people! All so my cats could see their birds.

My foot didn't hurt at the time, but in the middle of the night I was awakened by severe pain in my foot, such that, I couldn't put weight on it.  I hobbled to the kitchen, grabbed an ice pack and some Tylenol and went back to bed.

The next morning, my foot still hurt, I was limping plus I had overdone the snow thing outside and I was feeling like a pile of sh*t.  BUT if I didn't go to work, I'd get in trouble.  I realized when I got up that my neighbor's dad had plowed my driveway while I was sleeping.  So that was cool.  I called work telling them I was moving slow but would be coming in.

Then my car got stuck in my driveway.  Tires spinning, not moving.

I call work telling them that now my car is stuck, that I would try to come in later as the sun warmed up the snow, perhaps I could get out.  Want to know what I was told?????

Ummmmm WTF?

Yeah, it's like that now apparently.  They decided to change the rules and if you didn't show proof of your car being stuck, you wouldn't be able to use any time off pay.  Now for me, I honestly don't care about that.  I've never been about the money like that.  But I was so mad, that I sent the photos.  I finally got to work at noon, went to my boss to tell her I made it, limping and sick mind you, and her response was "Yay now you can get paid."

Great.

Yes this is a very gorgeous berry red holo!  Next up is Neptune, which trust me is sooooo much prettier in real life.  My camera was freaking out from all the sparkles and glitters.

Sadly, I didn't get to shoot this in the sun.  Will need to wear this one again big time! It even has a duochrome feel with shades of teal and green along with all these sparkles.  I will show you this again!
