Before we get to all that though, it's story time.
Remember last post when I told you mom and I got that great deal on the bedspreads? Well we are now on the lam, outlaws being hunted by a department store. Good thing mom's in Canada right now. I told her to stay there til the heat dies down.
She had no problem swapping out her king for a queen size at her local store. Damn not the case for me. I went and all I wanted was to just do an even swap. I didn't even care about the $10 I should have gotten back as I knew we had gotten too good a deal. Well oh hell no. Miss thang at the store was all like how did you get this price and we never sell this for lower than $129 and on and on.
I was getting mad. I was like if you won't do an even swap, then give me my money back and be done with it. She looked at me and said nastily, "give me a minute would ya?" Damn girlfriend, chill. She wrote down the employee code who did the sale, as she was going to get her in trouble for giving us too many discounts. She went online, thinking maybe it was cheaper there. Nope. She just kept trying to figure out how we got that low a price. What was I supposed to say? You had it marked wrong and we didn't tell you?
Not my problem.
Next she called the store manager, which would have been my next course of action and when the manager came, she was all like sure here you go and did the swap. After I had been arguing with the other one for about 30 minutes.
The problem now is, one end is all white. You see, you're supposed to use the pillow shams in that area and they wanted way too much money for those at the store. I think I found a deal on Ebay though. For right now, there is a ton of material at the foot of the bed on the floor. I am thinking it will look oh so much nicer with the shams.
All I know is, mom and I need to stay away from that store for awhile until the questions die down.
Oh and mom wanted me to point out that on top of all the chores I listed last post, she also stained my back deck. I've no idea how she does she much. Never just sits. I get tired just hearing her to do lists!
I'm burning CDs to my ipod as I write this. Seems I'm getting way too close to the 13GB that it holds. I'm going to have to pair down some stuff.
Now back to the very cool SinfulColors for today!
