Enchanted Polish January 2016

Today we have another of the monthly shimmers for you.  I've been wearing these when the sun isn't out and it's been hiding for quite some time now and I'm over it.  They say it's been the tenth wettest May ever and the coolest one as well.  But in a few days it's to be 90F and I'll be b*tching then for sure.

I like having my windows open and when it's that hot, I need the air conditioner.

Oh I totally forgot to tell you guys! A couple of weeks ago, something ran across my back deck twice. I could swear it was a fox, but can't be sure.  I went about my napping and when I went outside to get the mail, I saw a small rabbit sitting near my satellite dish just rocking his head back and forth.

I put two and two together and realized something beat up my yard bunny.  I've had yard bunnies for years and like the notion of them around.  I ran over to him and he was so in shock that he let me pet him.  Now remember this is a WILD bunny letting me touch him.

There was a pile of fur next to him.  He had two bare areas on his back where the fur had been ripped from and he just kept rocking and rocking.  Nothing else.  I grabbed a towel and tried to wrap him up and keep him warm.  I called the vet, the animal shelter, animal control and the game and wildlife people.

Not one person would help me.  The vet would have had I paid for it.  Sadly, I'm not rich or I would have.  I did what I could.  I picked him up and held him.  When I did that his back legs kicked at me strongly, so I knew that they were working.  Up to that point, when he tried to hop, he would simply fall over on his side.

It was the saddest thing ever.

I carried him to my woods and placed him next to a tree and petted him some more.  Yes I was crying and sad as I couldn't do anything else for him.  I told my neighbor what had happened.  For a good hour, he just kept rocking, nothing more.  When my neighbor came home, we went to check on him and he was gone.

I hope that means he collected himself and went off to heal.  I hope he didn't get carried off and I hope he didn't die.  I haven't seen him or any other bunnies since then.  I hope that it hasn't scared off the other bunnies from my yard forever.

It was a sad, sad thing.  I know some of you will roll your eyes and think me silly.

I'm ok with that.

You see what I'm seeing? Yup, this is my perfect nude shade.  I actually love this one and love the gold shimmer in it.  I must say I am enjoying these shimmers so far.  Stay tuned for more of them!

Enchanted Polish Pegacorn

I am still waiting for my car to arrive-hopefully it won't be much longer.

I think I am breaking up with my lawn guy.  Right now, he's charging me $40USD for about twenty minutes of mowing.  I like to have my grass short, he keeps telling me it's not good for the grass.

Who's paying whom here???

I keep asking him to go shorter.  What's been happening is, instead of the grass being cut, it's simply being pushed over and after he leaves, the grass pops back up and is long again.  I asked him to cut it to less than two inches. His reply was that he would have to mow my yard four times and charge me $50USD to get it that short.

In the meantime, two neighbors of mine have gorgeous short lawns and use a push mower where my lawn guy uses an industrial one.

So who's the idiot here?

I've decided that it's time for me to try to mow my own yard.  I have never done it before.  I've always paid someone to do it for me.  Reasons why, I may share with you guys some day.  Trust I have them.

Anywho, I've researched it and found a mower for $200USD that looks like it's not too heavy, has an easy starter and bags the grass which I like.  I may go this week to Sears to check it out.  I have to be able to lift it out of my car when I get home.  The site says it weighs 65lbs and I'm not sure I am strong enough to lift that much.

I can either get a neighbor to help me get it out of my car, or wait for my mom to come in mid June to help me. That scenario however means I will be paying someone to not do what I'm paying them to do.  When I told my lawn guy that I may look into getting my own mower, his response was not to keep my business.

There was no "Oh Fingers, what can I do to keep your business?" It's was more of a "it may be best" sort of reply.  Is this really someone I now want to keep paying?

I don't think so.

One more reason I need a man around.  Mow the lawn and kill Cujo the huge a** spider.

Oh one last thought.  I've told you about my acne.org regimen and how awesome it is right? Well I bought myself new white sheets for my new foam mattress.  620 thread count, 100% Egyptian Cotton. Oh yeah baby.  I wanted the 1000 thread count, but way out of my price range.

I also bought a new white towel for washing my face.  The benzoyl peroxide is bleaching everything, so I'm switching to white things.  Weird thing is, my new towel tag specifically says don't use with BP.  Now why would that be? How can a bleaching agent like BP ruin a white towel?

I'll get back to you, once I find out.

Now this is not the strongest holo ever, but it's a gorgeous teal blue and I do like it a lot!

My nails are slowly growing out and I'm happy for that for sure!!!!

Chaos and Crocodiles Pony in a Party Hat

Now there's a name for a polish right?  During my last hiatus, I didn't pay attention to my blog at all. When I came back and was writing last week's posts, I realized that my popular posts side bar photos were blurry. Since I paid to get this unique blog design, I contacted my designer to ask what was up.

Seems Blogger in their stupidity decided to make this happen as it takes away from the main focus. That being the new post.  Well I think that is stupid as all hell and I wrote Blogger and told them so. Why would you ever think a blurry photo anywhere on a blog would be a good thing?

Luckily, my blog designer is a genius and had already created code to combat Blogger's.  Since I know a little bit about the coding and the template, I was able to insert her code into mine and the problem was instantly fixed.

Now we just have to wait and see what changes Blogger will decide to do next.  They still haven't fixed the link that gets you to the area where you can unfollow blogs in an easy manner.  That's been broken since the day I started this blog five years ago now.  I wanted to clean that up as tons of these blogs are no longer active, but no way am I going thru 700 blogs one by one.

Oh hell no.

The other curious thing I have noted is all of a sudden, I am getting quite a few friend requests on my Facebook account.  I've gone from not having many to now 109.  People who are friending me, I must tell you that I am not active on Facebook at all.  I don't like pages, I don't friend people, my posts automatically post on Facebook by magic I created.  You won't offend me if you unfriend me.  To be honest, I probably won't even notice!

I am just curious as to the why it's happening now?

You can see I don't have anything there other than the posts that are here.  Makes me wonder what's going on. Hopefully someone will enlighten me.

Now today we have a gorgeous strong linear holo that just makes me happy.  It is why I love Chaos and Crocodiles so much.

Essie Sole Mate

Another thing happened during my two week absence.  My blog officially turned five.  I cannot believe I have been doing this for five years! It's insane.

My very first post I did Essie Wicked as it is my mom's favorite color.  At least in the burgundy purply range.  I almost did Wicked again for the anniversary, but instead turned to Sole Mate as a similar and also a very old Essie in my collection.

The issue is, my nails are nubs and just awful and ugly-so ignore that part!

Work has been annoying.  Besides busy as hell, my two coworkers are just being stupid.  One day last week, they both were having bad days and crying and expecting me to listen to their crap, but the next day I was having a bad day and they were literally having a party, playing trivial pursuit and not doing any work nor asking if I needed any help or if I was ok.

It's getting old.  The one coworker is in a war with her clerk.  They just yell at each other on the phone all day long and instead of just letting it go and doing your work, she bitches and moans and writes emails to superiors and fills out safety concern forms.  I'm thinking you complain that you are here til 8:30 at night and yet here you are doing nothing but making your life more hell by doing all this stuff.

It's just ridiculous.  The other one cries because the MD she works for was mean.  Hmmmmm, he's been mean since day one, fired me as his nurse because he didn't like me and you are just now figuring out he's mean????? And she's applied to get the official title for what she's already doing?

Yeah, let me cry you a river.

Meanwhile, I'm busting my a** taking care of my patients in a tiny corner of a packed room full of people and I don't even get a raise or a thank you from my superiors.  Although I did get a very nice voicemail from a lady whom I'm hoping will tell my superiors how fabulous I am.  I didn't do what I did to get that voicemail, but it was nice to be recognized.

Oh and Stupid has been told that "she doesn't have the qualifications" to do the job she was doing before she quit.  HEHEHE.  Although the new job ad is calling for applicants to have a Master's degree.  Now that's a joke. What I do is push paper. now granted, I do more than my coworkers but it sure ain't Master's degree work.

So the two that have applied with a Master's degree find out it's really just pushing paper and they don't take the job and I don't blame them one bit.  I wouldn't do what I am doing if I had a Master's I promise you that.

It truly is a gorgeous color, my nails just need some help! This is for my mom as it's been Mother's Day and her birthday and I'm late on both for sending her cards.  Yes I suck, but she loves me anyway!  This is also for my five year anniversary of this blog being in existence.  As crazy as that is!

Colors by LLarowe Blonde Ambition, Woman from Tokyo

Yes people, I've done it again.  I wore Blonde Ambition by itself.  It's the holy holo grail of all holos. I need a back up bottle as it's my most used holo.

I told you that recently it was my birthday and I was looking to buy a new car.  Before you get all upset thinking I'm Mommy Warbucks, that is so far from the truth it's ridiculous.

My foam mattress was actually my real birthday present.  I saved for four months to pay for it. The reason I was looking to buy a car on my birthday was two fold.  My mom was here and I may have needed her to cosign the loan for me as my ex husband f*cked up my credit and my dad had to cosign my last car loan.

Which I paid off.

Seems that since I had a bankruptcy in 2012, I have since fixed the credit my ex ruined and my score is back in the excellent range and didn't need my mom to cosign.  That was a proud moment for me as I've worked hard to fix my credit.

The other reason is, I put a ton of miles on my car and it's four years old with 83,000 miles on it already.  The trade in value will keep going down and I won't get a good price for it if I wait. Remember I told you I had done the math and had figures in my head.

Well, I didn't do my due diligence and my homework and feel I got screwed a bit.  While I used truecar.com for what I should pay for the new one and what they will sell my used car for, I neglected to go on kelley blue book to see what my actual trade in value is.  That's where I screwed up.  So I was $2000 off.  So yeah, I was hoping for payments around $108, in reality it's going to be closer to $130 for six years instead of four.  Sh*t.

Doable, but I hate being screwed.

I officially signed a contract for a 2016 Honda Civic manual transmission in Burgundy Night Pearl.

Now this is my third car from this dealer and I am well aware that they won't have a stick on the lot for me-I'm used to having to wait for them to find me the car I want.

I'm ok with that.

Then two weeks went by with no word at all.

Hmmmmmmm.

Then a text from my car guy.  Seems they can't find me my car in an at least three state area, so the Honda factory is MAKING ME MY CAR.

How freakin cool is that?

The car I will be getting is made just for me and I will be the only one with this particular car.  Yeah I call myself special for this.  Keeps me going you know?

I still don't have my new car yet, but when I do, I will be painting my nails to match my car and taking tons of pictures to show you.  What polish?? Chanel Malice of course! The elusive polish I so love but need a back up bottle of.  My car looks black, but sparkles red in the sun.  I'm excited and can't wait to get it!

Enchanted Polish February 2016

Blah, Blah, Blah.  My name is no, my sign is no, my number is no, you need to let it go..............

Can you guess what I'm listening to? Yup the new Meghan Trainor CD.  While I miss the 50s vibe of her last album, this one rocks too.

Not going to apologize for my absence.  It is what it is.  I'm trying people, I promise.  Plus my nails all ripped down way past the nubs and were way too short and awful to even polish.  I've been doing the NailTek crap, which my mind tells me that I know it doesn't work, but if I don't do something, naked nails will just keep peeling down.

The pictures in this post are right before they all ripped off.  So this is the last post with my pretty long nails.

Let's see, what do I need to update you on? First up, I got my new foam mattress and it is the freaking bomb.  It is comfortable as all get out and man am I sleeping better.  I'm still trying to get used to a foam pillow with a foam bed.  May be too much, but I tried a regular pillow and that wasn't doing it either.

I spent yesterday washing all the bed clothes.  The blanket, the bed spread, the pillow shams etc. Three loads of wash in total.  I want to buy new sheets as my new acne regimen is bleaching the hell out of the sheets I have now.  So I need to go white so the bleaching won't affect it.

I've been using the acne.org regimen now for eight weeks straight.  My skin has never looked better. My pores are smaller and clean, no blackheads and I haven't had a zit this whole time.  My mom thought it looked good as well.

Just wish I had known about this stuff a long time ago!

All right, this year, Enchanted Polish is doing monthly shimmers instead of holos.  Not my favorite thing, but I buy everything she makes so there it is.

Oh how I hope I can get my nails back to this length. I am trying so hard! Anyway, this shimmer is freakin amazing.  I am in love with it.

Seems the sun is finally coming out in my part of the world.  It's literally done nothing but rain and be cloudy for about a month now.  Doesn't make me want to wear a holo when I don't get the rainbows.
