Before we get started today, I have to tell you that I am so very sad right now. I lost my childhood idol the other day-Davy Jones of The Monkees. Laugh if you want, I don't care. Growing up, he was it for me. I was going to marry him someday. Saw them twice in concert. If you are unaware, he died of a massive heart attack. As I write this post, I am listening to all my Monkees music paying homage to Davy. May he rest in peace.
Because I am sad, I thought maybe something sparkly would help me feel better. I did another massive layering experiment.
First up, the required silly bottle shot.
Oh yeah, that is a lot of polish! This is Spoiled Watch Your Language, Elemental Styles Easy Bro-mine, Soflajo Guardian of the Lake and Call Forth the Dragons, Pure Ice Busted and Zoya Pinta. It's a purple sparkle fest!
This is how excited my cats are over this.
Can't you just feel their excitement? This is Sam on top of Checkers. You would think the smaller cat would be on top-but oh no, they always snuggle with the big boy Sam on top. I would think he would crush Checkers-but maybe it keeps her warm!
Back to the mani. I started with Spoiled Watch Your Language which I got when I bought the Revlon Royal. I was hoping I would like drugstore brands. But I have to say this polish sucks. It's runny, no opacity, brush strokes and I just hate it. It's going in the giveaway pile. My camera also wouldn't cooperate and shows this as blue. But it's a true purple frost. Here are your shots.

The indoor color is almost right-but it's still more purple. I then added a layer of Pure Ice Busted. Here is that step.

The sun was hiding for these steps! I didn't realize Busted had so much pink in it. I then added a layer of Soflajo Call Forth the Dragons and a layer of
Elemental Styles Easy, Bro-mine. Sorry I didn't get pictures of each step! Here is this step.

See the sparkle in the indoor shot? That's from the Soflajo-it has holo shimmers in it. I just love this! But I pressed on and added a layer of Soflajo Guardian of the Lake and topped it off with my funky french in Zoya Pinta. Here are the results. The sun came out for this.

Oh how sparkly this came out. Total eleven layers! I just love these color changing topcoats. I am so addicted! I just love how the
Soflajo has holo shimmer in it. Can't you see the rainbows in this?
I hope you liked this layer fest. I know I did! You know I'm sad when I don't make jokes about the name of that Sinful polish! Such a lost opportunity!
Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?
