Violet, You're turning Violet, Violet

After the fiasco that was labeled nail art, I needed something that would make it all better.  Nowadays, that's Nails Inc polish.  I am totally addicted and loving this brand. Today's color is called Belgrave Place. It's a true dark violet.  A beautiful mix of blue and purple.  Think Liz Taylor's eyes but darker.  Oh the loveliness that is this color.

Once again, I could have stopped with one coat.  This stuff is seriously pigmented. The top coat did not disappoint and was lightning fast.  The bummer is my camera has a serious issue with showing purple in it's true form.  So these pictures DO NOT tell the story of how pretty this color is. Once again, like the past red color I just did, I felt it was too pretty to stamp over. For me, that is huge since I have christened myself the funky french bitch of the blog world.  HAHA!

I have noticed a lot of blogs do the requisite bottle shot.  I haven't been doing that, don't really understand the reasoning, but if you guys like it, I'll start doing it! So this is my first bottle shot, just for you.  I have also been scouring the internet for places that ship this brand to the USA.  I'm that dedicated and have emailed the company to tell them how awesome this stuff is.

Isn't that a sexy bottle? Seriously, why do blogs include the bottle shot? Can someone please enlighten me?  Anyway, I took pictures indoors and outdoors trying to capture the violetness of this polish.  I failed horribly.  You'll just have to trust that I wouldn't lie to you my fans.  Here are my nails-and yes it's a butt load of pictures!

I mean look at that shine! Are you guys seriously understanding my new addiction to this polish brand? How can you not love this? Again, the pictures aren't giving you the true beauty.  I apologize.  Bad Camera!

Any thoughts from you on this? Am I alone in thinking the bottle shot is silly? Tell me the truth people! I can take it!

  3. You may have noticed that I don't do bottle shots, either. Personally, I don't think they're necessary. Most readers are already familiar with the packaging for most brands, so it just takes up space.

    Just my two cents.

  4. I usually don't do bottle shots either - unless it's something that not many people might have seen (Ozotic 117) or if it's something really unique (especially frankens)

  5. @Kristy and Barilla-I've decided at least for the next few posts-to do an "arty" bottle shot just to be a smart ass! Will see how it goes over!

  6. Wow, I love this color! And if you say it's even prettier in real life, then it must be a true holy grail of nail polishes! :D

  7. I think a lot of people do the bottle shots to show the reader what the polish bottle looks like so if they go out hunting for it, they know what it looks like. I sometimes take a photo of the name of the polish, and I have NO idea why I do that. Its fun I guess!

  8. @Sandra- it has more purple in real life! A true beauty!

@Nail-Venturous- I always wondered about the name shot- is it so we know you're telling the truth about the polish name? Other blogs do that too!

  9. That nail polish is pretty!

I used to do the bottle shots, but I have kinda found it to be silly when it's a common polish. Sometimes I'd still do it if the polish looks way different on the nails than it does in the bottle.

  10. I think people do bottle shots so you can kinda see what the color looks like in the bottle. IDK actually, that's just my guess. I do bottle shots because sometimes you get a really sexeh bottle. Anyway, this is also a sexy color and I want to lick it. There are two Sephoras in my area and neither of them has Nails Inc. I haz a sad.
