Starry Starry Night-sort of

Ah the lemming of many that is the Essie Starry Starry Night polish.  Oh how I've wanted this one for a long time now.  Why can't polish companies realize how much we love certain polish and just make more??

Well the wait is no longer.  I have found a proven dupe of this elusive beauty and it does not disappoint.

It's actually New Year's Eve when this posts.  Makes me think about the huge party in Times Square in New York City.  I just can't imagine being crammed in like that with a bunch of drunk people and having a good time.  Most holidays just don't mean anything to me any more.  And since it's on a Wednesday like Christmas was, it's my regular day off.  I live in the woods so for me when midnight hits, the guns start shooting.  It's actually pretty scary.  I remember one year when I was still living in St Louis, I left my friend's house shortly after midnight and people were shooting guns off and I was terrified a bullet would fall from the sky and kill me.  That actually happened here in Virginia recently.  Maybe it was July 4th?  They were drunk and shooting and the bullet came down and killed a 4 year old boy.  They never did find out who did it.  Isn't that awful?  Drunk people should not have guns.

Wow that was a weird tangent.  I never plan what I'm going to talk about, I just sit down and start writing. This is what came out this time!

As for resolutions?  I always make the same one.  I plan to start and keep up a journal. I have this weird fascination with new blank journals and pads of paper.  So I have bazillions of blank journals.  I always start off determined and do a day of two, but it never fails that I always give it up.  I'm going to try really hard this year!

Now Pointless Cafe owns the Essie and did a comparison and they are pretty much dupes.  I started with a mani of Twinkle and an accent of KOH.

Trust this would look so much better had the sun been out.  But oh how glorious these two are!

I really didn't want to cover up Twinkle too much so I just studded that and stamped on the accent nail using MoYou Explorer plate 1.  A new one for you guys,

The sun actually came out for literally a few seconds. Long enough for me to snap a couple of shots to show you how stunning these are.  Since they are blues, they will stain, but that's just how it goes.

How cool is this plate?  Look at the part to the right above the triangle area for the stripe of design I used.
