A Funky Funky

Even after all this time since I started blogging in May 2011, I check my blog stats the minute I'm out of bed in the morning even before coffee.  I just like to keep tabs on the goings on there.  I average only about 200 hits a day, but that's been steady so I'm not too bummed about that.  I know I'm no Fashion Polish who gets a million hits a day.  I like my blog just the way it is.  I'm ok with what I've created.

Have you ever paid attention to the section of your stats that gives you the search words that led to your blog?  Some of these are hilarious.  This morning I had one that was "big white nudey butt."  How hilarious is that?  I did a post once call Nudey Nudey Nudey because it was using a nude polish. This is not the first time that the word nudey has led to my blog.  I like to imagine the people's reaction when they are looking for naked people and come upon my blog of nail polish.  Oh the disappointment they must feel.  HAHA!

Doesn't it just make you crack up at the thought?  It does me. I have that kind of silly humor.

The other story I have for you is my brush with the man.  I'm a crazy speed demon and someone who gestures wildly at the people driving in front of me if they are in my way.  I've told you this before.  Was driving home from work the other day and traffic was making me mad.  Yes I'm a road rager as well.  So I zipped around this van on the right doing about 81mph in a 65mph zone. Imagine my horror as I noticed the state man standing there with his stun gun doing a speed trap.  I immediately slowed down and panicked for a few miles thinking I was definitely going to be pulled over.  Well something must have been in my favor that day because I was not stopped.  Phew.  Serious relief.  Of course that doesn't stop me from speeding, I just make sure to watch more carefully for the man.

Now on to the mani at hand.  Here is the silly bottle shot.

This is Zoya Pepper and Livingston with Enchanted Polish June in the middle.

I started with a full mani using June.  This is a gorgeous salmon colored holo.  Here are the starting shots.

You can see I went with a more squoval rounded nail shape.  I had broken my pointer fingernail and had to nubbinize again.  Isn't this holo awesome?

Next I placed a bunch of tape and almost forgot to take a picture of this step.

I'm glad I remembered to stop and take a picture for you!  Next I finished filling in the shapes I had created with the tape.  Here is that step.

Next I removed the tape and did some cleanup.

Pretty cool eh?  I next played around with my new love of the studs and tried a few different options.  Here's what I came up with.  I give you the funky funky.

You can't tell, but these studs are a light pink. They appear clear though.  I love how the holo rainbows peek through the polish.  I am totally in love with this and hate to have to remove it.
