Silk Flower Fail

The mani for today was brought about by the exact opposite of what was going on outside my window.  I mentioned last post that it was blizzarding outside, and even though I love snow, I thought a nice pastel flower mani would be a nice contrast.  I promise to have pictures of the snow next post.

The bummer that is this mani are my horrible cuticles and the mess that are my dot flowers.  People make dotting seem so easy, but when you try to do something not random, it's hard to achieve.  

I have no stories or anything good to talk about today.  So we will just get to it ok?

Here is the silly bottle shot.

Yup-it's another Bettina fest!  This is Watermelon, Mandarin, Butterfly, Fruit Punch and Silk.  All but Silk is from their new Picnic Collection.  

I started with Silk, which is a light bubble gum pink creme.  Yes people, I am wearing pink!  Here are the starting shots.

Oh the horror that are my cuticles!  Please look away!!!  Next I added dots with Mandarin and Fruit Punch.  Here is that step.

Next I added more dots and tried to connect the 'flower' petals.  Here is that step.

To add to this mess, I added stripes with Butterfly and more dots.  Here is that step.

It just keeps getting worse and worse doesn't it?????  I almost added some holo sparkle but decided to end this mani's misery with my funky using Butterfly again.  Here are the results.

So what do you guys think?  Is this as bad as I think it is?  I was just trying to do something new and exciting!  

I promise my next mani is pretty cool-plus there will be snow pictures!  Stay tuned for that.
