Nightmare Nails

You know when you think you have a fabulous mani idea and you go about making it happen on your nails and then you look at it finished and it's horrible?  Well this is my mani for today.

I had such high hopes and I do believe that I will recreate this with the colors I originally had in mind, but for some reason changed at the last minute.  I believe my original thought design would be gorgeous.  I am out to prove that to myself when I recreate this. It will be on the next post.

I have mentioned before that no matter what, I refuse to start over when I have a fail.  I believe it's my penance for ugly to stare at it for days at a time.  Plus I am just way too lazy.  Stupid me even wore a matching skirt to work yesterday and a coworker made a comment and I never really realized I had done a matchy matchy.  OUCH.

Totally off topic, but I am attending a conference this week.  It's all on testicular cancer. Lance Armstrong's doctor is one of the speakers.  This is one of the cancers I deal with at work.  Testicular cancer is actually very curable when caught early enough. Surgery and chemo do the trick.  Something that never dawned on me though.  When we treat this cancer, most of the men are very young, in their twenties.  The dilemma seems to be, are we causing other cancers in these men when they get older with the treatments that cured them years before?

Seriously something for me to ponder.  I had never even thought about that.  At all.  I am looking forward to hearing the statistics and lectures on this topic.

I apologize for going so far off nail polish there.  It's just an interesting thought to me.

Here is your silly bottle shot.

This is Bettina 27, Rescue Beauty Lounge Yellow Fever and Barry M Gelly Plum.

I started with Yellow Fever-in the bottle there is subtle shimmer, but with no sun, I couldn't capture that here for you.  It is a highlighter yellow and LOUD!  Here are the shots.

Yes I warned you last post that I had to seriously nubbinize my nails to match the torn pointer finger.  So freakin sad, but I shall push on.

Next I stamped using Barry M Plum and plate DRK-A.  Here is that step.

So not what I had envisioned.  I ended this nightmare with my funky using Bettina 27. Here are the results.

When I replicate this the way I originally envisioned this next post, I will tell you where the inspiration came from.  This is no where near what I wanted.

I am not loving this at all.  I'm sure there will be some out there who like this, but all I know is that it's finally time to take it off!!!

The question remains, if we can cure a cancer but it will cause another cancer later on in life, do we still do the treatment?  It does give that person years more to live......

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
