I also use the I Ching to answer life's most important questions. Like what color polish should I wear today? Of course I jest about that. The I Ching is not something to be taken lightly. Anyone out there who knows the I Ching believes in its magical powers of prediction. I am just enthralled with all things ancient Chinese.
My point? My polish choice today is Rescue Beauty Lounge Chinoise. Of course if you look up the definition of Chinoise, you'll see it's a French sieve. But a Chinoiserie refers to a style of art with Chinese influence. I think this may be where Ji came up with the polish name.
It just came back in stock after being gone for quite awhile. Of course I had to have it. It is a crisp red jelly that reminds me of the beautiful Chinese lacquered screens. This is the color of fire trucks, red apples and hot red mustang cars. It is a sexy, old Hollywood, come hither red.
This color screams come talk to me. But is also says this color has been around for a very long time. I don't have another red quite like it. Plus I just love jellies.
I also wanted to share with you my new Ice Orchid. I have lots of green plants, but no flowering ones. I decided to try and raise an orchid. Apparently, they are very fussy things, that require a lot of TLC. It's called an Ice Orchid, because once a week, you give it 3 ice cubes for its watering.
Isn't is pretty? Please cross your fingers and send me good thoughts that I will not kill this beautiful orchid!
