Oh the horror!

Technically, I am on vacation right now.  In actuality, I haven't left yet.  I'm packing and trying to decide which polish to bring with me. You know, the important stuff. When you read this, I will be on vacation, hopefully catching big fish.

Plus, instead of sitting here eating Lucky Charms, I've got Count Chocula!!!  It's the only time of year you can get this stuff!  I bought two boxes and will probably buy more.  I love this stuff.

I have a new Cujo the spider living with me.  He is huge and scary.  He was living in between my screen and sliding glass door.  That really freaked me out. I use that door every day to go out back and feed the birds.  I do not want Cujo falling on my head. No sirree.  A few days ago, I gently flicked him off my screen and onto my deck and flicked him away from the door, hoping he'd go somewhere else.  I didn't want to hurt him, just move him.  Do you know what happened?  The next day, Cujo was back but on the part of the sliding door that doesn't move.  I am ok with this. He has a little webby area where he stays and sleeps during the day and he comes out scary huge to get the bugs at night.  We have an agreement.  He stays out there, I let him stay alive.

As you read this, picture me standing on a dock, on a Canadian lake, fishing my little heart out.  No phone signal, no running water, awesomesauce.  My happy place. As my online dating profile says, it's my mountain man time.  Worm guts, fish guts, sponge baths-just the important parts.  As an elderly woman told me once-it's a PTA bath-pussy, tits and ass.  It is roughing it you know.

I've nubbined my nails, because I broke one, but I know fishing will ruin what I had with all the water and dirt so I was just proactive and did the nubbins.  I broke my OPI glass file doing it as well.  So mad at myself.  Guess I wasn't being careful and thought it was stronger than it really was.  Do love my glass files. It's my new thing.

I had big plans for this mani.  However, my plans failed and horribly.  You may want to look away, but at least know that the holo rainbows will shine through.

Here is the silly bottle shot.

This is Essie Cashmere Bathrobe, Kiko Frosted Emerald and Enchanted Polish Ballerina Sprinkles.

I started with a full mani of Sprinkles.  It's a gorgeous sky blue holo.  Here are the starting shots.

At least I started out well!  My plan was to do nested diamonds.  I taped off the first diamond and did the outside using Kiko.  Here is that step.

Just know that this Kiko is gorgeous, but stains like hell.  I took the tape off and realized I did not have diamonds-I had a mess.  Here is that step.

This was after I tried to fill in the parts where the darker blue didn't get on the nail.  I also tried to kind of round out the pattern since it was clearly not a diamond.  I then did some dots with the grey and added a stud in the middle.  It ended up looking like a weird chocolate chip cookie.

You know how I refuse to do do overs-well this was so offensive to me, I removed it an hour later.  This made my skin and nails blue big time.  It was horrible.  I ended up taking a shower to try and get the blue off and then redid my nails.  It sucked.  Here are the failed results.

The bummer is, I spent so much time on this, only to take it right off!  At least stare at the holo goodness and forgive me this failure!

Would you let Cujo live on your house?

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
