Pastel Fest

Today's mani turned out to not be what I wanted it to be.  After I was done, I realized a better way with better colors to do it.  Had this happened to you, would you have immediately done the next mani with your updated idea or waited a while so you don't have two similar manis in a row?

I decided to wait and now I'm wondering if I will ever revisit it.  Only time will tell.

So I had told you a few posts ago how happy I am with the medical facial place right? Well I had my second facial and I have to say I was not pleased at all.  I think this is what places do.  They treat you all awesome and throw in a bunch of extras free to get you to come back.  I was expecting a microdermabrasion and an hour session.  This is not what I got.  I got something called a micropeel and only thirty minutes.  Plus it cost $5 more than the hour facial I had last time.  She didn't remember the products I had bought the last time and tried to sell me something I had already bought.  It also seemed to be rushed and I was not happy.

Now in all fairness, when they booked this appointment, I did not ask how long it was or what it entailed.  This is on me.  Had I asked and known, I would have asked for something different.  This is also why I didn't say something that day.  I was also in the throes of my bad chest cold I told you about.  So all I really wanted to do was go home to bed.

Believe me, next time I will say something and ask questions before booking the next appointment.  I will not pay some ungodly amount for only 30 minutes.  That ain't happening again.  I can assure you that.  She did say my face is 70% better and now we are working on getting rid of the scarring I have from the acne.  I made sure to ask this time that the next appointment is for microdermabrasion and a one hour service.

I am still committed to this and overall I am very happy with how my skin is looking.  I've had such bad acne my whole life, worsening the older I get, that it's nice to not have any spots for the moment.

You can't see my thumb, but it has the white holo on it!  Now this was supposed to be Easter egg-ish so I freehanded a random pattern but not sure it's what I was going for.

In my opinion, it takes away from the pastelly look that I started with.  Still this took forever so I did not do my other hand!
