Simple Tartan

As you've all probably seen by now, I've updated my blog sale big time.  Over 150 polish went in it this time. I spent hours taking pictures and writing the names etc. Literally hours ok?  Stupid me thought Blogger was saving the post as I went along, like it does now for a new post.  But what I didn't know, was that Blogger doesn't do that for updated already posted posts.  Which is what my blog sale was.

Imagine my horror when it reverted back to the old sale!  All that work.  My poor bestie got the foul mouthed swear laden text from hell as I was pissed!  So yup, I had to do the whole damn thing all over again.

So because of that, I was not going to do anything spectacular for my mani.  Still, I think it came out really cool.

Gellin update-I've soaked all of it off.  Yes, it was giving me some length, but they were splitting and ripping underneath where I couldn't get the gel to stay on.  Plus I was so over having to redo it once or twice a week.  I mean so over it.  It was way too time consuming.  So yup for now I am back to au naturel, which means nubville.  Plus they are very thin right now.  I'm back on the cuticle oil bandwagon.  I may add my gel supplies to my blog sale, but for now I'm just going to go without.

Here is the silly bottle shot.

This is Joe Fresh Caramel and Moss.  Even though I don't wear these often enough, I just couldn't sell them!

I started with Caramel and an accent of Moss.

Sorry I haven't had any sun to do different lighting shots for you!  See the nubs?  Ah well.

Next I simply added three stripes for a simple Tartan (I think it's called).

Yes I need to work on my stripes.  For the black and white, I added tape and used it as a straight edge with my striper polish.  The green is Moss and is freehand.  My hands shake so I'm not sure I'll ever have perfect lines, but I'm far from done practicing!

I am loving this simple mani-are you?

Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?
