A Wintry Feel

After my fabulous Fall mani, I had a hankerin for a mani of a much different nature. Something wintery. Plus,I didn't want to do skittles, I wanted something uniform on all my nails.  I realized that I haven't done that in a long time.  I also wanted to show you how awesomely I can stamp now, in case you had doubts after my last post showing you the horror that is my blog beginning.

Why back then I took pictures with my left hand of my right hand I have no idea.  I'm right handed and I'm sure my left hand's polishing came out better.  Plus, I have crooked nails on my right hand, that's why I don't show it now.  Why I started out that way, I really have no idea.

I hope that I at least inspired people to keep practicing, because it really does make stamping better.

Oh and in case you didn't know, I did not make the top ten in the Rescue Beauty Lounge new swatcher contest.  I knew I wouldn't ultimately win one of the three spots, but I had at least thought I had a chance at the top ten being as in love with the brand as I am.  I now realize, it was nothing more than a popularity contest amongst the pretty nailed people, for which I am not one.

I have to admit, this kind of hurt.  All I wanted was a little recognition for all the hard work I put into that and I just felt I was never even looked at.

Why is it that companies don't even look at the short nubbed people?  Think about it. I bet the only short nubbed blogger you know is The Nailasaurus. Granted, she is awesome as all get out, and I love her and her nails, but other than her, the shorties are not revered like the long nailed pretty people.  I've realized that it's making me kind of bitter.  Makes me wonder why I put so much time and energy into this blog and painting my nails for the vast majority who will never even look at what I do, nor care?

I do know that I have a small group of people who like what I do and I love you guys for that.  Trust me, it's you guys that keep me going.  I think I'm just having a severe case of PMS this week and we all know what that's like don't we?

I continue on for you, my loyal peeps.

Here is your silly bottle shot.

This is Enchanted Polish Marge's Blue Beehive and Essie Blanc.  I just realized I left out Colores de Carol's holo topcoat.

I started with a full mani with Marge.  Yup, ten nails, all one color.  Here are the starting shots.

This is one gorgeous blue, but not one of her stronger holos.  I can't remember the last time I did a full mani with one color.

Next I stamped with Sally Hansen Whirlwind White and my all time favorite design on Bundle Monster BM306.  I did my funky, added some holo top coat and voila.

This is also one of the most intricate patterns and very difficult to master.  It's hard to get all the little vines and details just right and all lined up.  I just love this so much.  Even closeup, you will see how delicate this design is.  Again my peeps, practice-works!

I will toot my horn on this one.  I'm very proud of myself for at least this one thing I have mastered in the nail world.  I can't draw, I can't do freehand, I suck at most everything else, but man can I stamp!

Makes up for all the sh*t of last week.

Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?
