I am actually going to be in season for this post. Normally, I don't really care but today's polish is from the Winter 2011 collection. I am also attempting to be sophisticated. Yes I know, it's a stretch! But I think I pulled it off.
I always think red and gold are so damn classy together. I wanted to do something for the holiday season that wasn't snowflakes or candy canes or stuff like that. I like this so much I may repeat it for Christmas day.
First up, you know the drill-the silly bottle shot.
This is China Glaze Velvet Bow and Julep Sienna. I am really getting a lot of use out of that Julep. The Velvet Bow is a stunning deep burgundy creme. I am in love with colors like this. I just had to have this when it came out. The problem is there was no sun the day I did this mani. So I have no sun shots of just Velvet Bow alone. But here are shade and indoor shots for you.

Isn't it beautiful?? I just love this color so much. It's dark, it's sexy and it's a creme. These are a few of my favorite things!! Oh yeah, I love that song.
Now you well know I can't just leave this alone. I got out my brand new XL plate I and stamped with Konad special Gold polish. I then used the Julep to do the funky tips but it didn't match the Gold stamp. So I put a layer of special Gold over top of the Julep since the special polish wasn't enough to do the tips alone. Here is the final result. I took the sun shots two days later. Here is sophistication at its finest.

Isn't this awesome? I am loving this a lot! It reminds me of brocade and fancy things. Do you agree? I must say, I really impressed myself with this one. Isn't is perfect for Christmas?
What other color combos go perfect together? Any thoughts out there?
