Catrice-Skittlefied

Yes I made up a word-what are you gonna do about it?!?!  Recently, I did a swap with Ivana at Ivana Thinks Pink in Slovenia.  I had seen on her blog that I owned her top lemming of all time.  To me, the polish meant nothing-but to her?? Well-I'll just wait and let her tell you about it!!

She had sent me some Catrice polish.  Since I can't get that here in the USA, I thought that'd be a cool thing to swap for.  This is my first trial of Catrice polish.  Today we have Plum Play With Me.  I have been trying to bulk up the purples in my collection and this one is stunning.  Of course, my camera ruined it-but no bother, it's all good!

Here is your silly bottle shot and a preview of what's to come-

Oh yeah-that's the skittlefied part!  First we shall talk about Plum Play with Me.  This is a true purple creme. I must say though that the formula kind of sucked.  It was thin, runny and if I wasn't careful, it would pull up what I already laid down.  Does that make sense?  It got blotchy and seemed to not be nice to work with. Since this is my first Catrice-are they all like this? Or did I get a bum bottle?  I had to do a thick second coat to cover up all the blotches and make it smooth. In the end, it really is a pretty color.  Here are your indoor and outdoor shots.

Please note, that this is NOT the true color.  My camera does not like purples. I wish I could find a way to fix that!  Next, I took each of the Essie Luxe effects and Unicorn Puke and did a finger each on my left hand, and all Puke on my right hand.

From left to right these are: Pure Pearlfection, Shine of the Times, Gold as it Gets, Set in Stones and Unicorn Puke.  Yes I do have a right hand, it's just not my model hand! This is all Cult Nails Unicorn Puke.

I am really not sure how I feel about these Essie effects.  I am not a glitter fan, but am trying out new things.  I am kind of digging the Unicorn Puke. It really is very pretty in person.  As far as the Essie's go-I remain undecided.

What do you guys think?  Are you dying for these Essies???
