Puce-are you kidding me?

If you've been following my blog, you know that I do my nails on Wednesdays and Sundays. I am just too lazy to do the daily thing, plus I like to enjoy whatever color I choose for more than 24 hours. Well today is a first for me. I picked Rescue Beauty Lounge Anne. Normally, I love RBL polishes. This color was so awful to me that I couldn't stand to look at it, let alone wear it until Sunday. I didn't even take the time to clean my cuticles up. The scary thing is, this color won a "Bring It Back" contest on the RBL website recently. Has the world gone mad? This is the exact color I call 'puce'. It is a horrible purple brown mess with gold and pink shimmer. Can someone explain to me why this won a contest? Anyway, I had to take it off and do my nails all over again. What a pain. Of course, any polish I had chosen would have a hard time competing with my love of the holo green. I was so sad taking that color off. But this color just didn't know what it was. Is it brown, is it purple? What do you think?
