Studs and Stones

I'm gonna start by saying I am in love with today's mani.  Serious love people.  I got in a bunch of new studs and I had a hard time trying to decide what to use first.  I'm still on a grey kick as I told you about last post. But the colors I picked this time, led me to the studs I ended up starting with.

Yes I'm definitely back to work.  Vacation is far behind me.  Man I need to just win the lottery and not have to work ever again!  Or I could marry a rich guy, but the dregs of society on the online dating site are still sending me the "nice boobs" messages.  I'm pretty sure I won't be finding a millionaire on there any time ever.

Instead of waiting for money, I guess I'll just have to keep going to work.  While I was out on vacation, I had asked my job to buy me a textbook on head and neck cancer.  It's one of the cancers I do at my job.  It's also the one cancer that I know the least about and is the most difficult of the ones I deal with.  I don't feel competent enough and got the higher ups to buy me a very expensive textbook.

Which leads me off on a tangent.  Why are textbooks so damn expensive?  It makes no sense to me.  Just like medicine is so damn expensive. It just really boggles the mind sometimes.

Anywho, I got the textbook and it must weigh like 20lbs!  There are all sorts of yucky pictures in there.  The thing about head and neck cancer is it's one of the cancers you can actually see because it grows out of the face.  I'm not going to gross anyone out, but believe me, I don't need this textbook to show me things I've seen IRL.

I figure while I'm doing my head and neck cancer clinic, I could be reading my book and learning at the same time.  I'm already on page 56 and started a notebook for notes.  I'm one of those people who can't be at work and do nothing.  I always have to be doing something, although this past friday, all I did was get caught up on the 1000 blog posts I was behind on in my reading!  Shhhhhhhhhh-don't tell anyone that part!!!

OK tangent over.  Here is the silly bottle shot for today.

Yup, more BB Couture!  This is Shaded Ash and Smoke.

I started with Smoke and an accent of Ash.  These are both gorgeous colors!

It was raining the day I did this, so no sun shots.  Next I added some tape.

Then I filled in that area.

Then I removed the tape and did cleanup.

Then I added some dots.

Finally, I added some black studs and some gorgeous stone studs.  If I had more stone studs, I would have gone crazy with just those.  Here are the results. I'm still playing with poses.

I thought these stones went so well with the colors I picked for the mani.  I'm loving this big time!!!!

I have so many more studs to show you.  Just you wait!!!

PS-when did it become October????

Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?
