Man oh man are my nails in bad shape. This post and the next, my nails are all sorts of different lengths. I needed to keep some longer for the next post. Trust I will be cutting them down to tiny nubs later today. I have several cracked ones held together by polish and some that just won't grow. I hate when nails are not all the same length.
Enough griping about that! This is going to be a quick post today. The sun has not been out in days and I was in a hurry to get this mani done. It's not one of my better ones, but the end result is pretty cool.
When I went to find the bottles for this post, one was missing and I couldn't find it. Finally, under a dresser there it was. One of my cats, and I'm sure it was Checkers, decided it would make a fun toy.
Here is the silly bottle shot.
This is Joe Fresh Khaki and Caramel, Finger Paints Flecked and Rescue Beauty Lounge Moxie.
I started with alternating Khaki and Caramel, kind of a palette cleanser for me. Here are the starting shots.

Ignore the bumps and dents! Next I added a layer of Moxie, which I have never tried before. Didn't realize it would cover this base so much. It's a golden shimmer. Here is that step.

You can still tell this is caramel and green, but had I known, I would have used something else. No matter. I'd forgotten all about my flakies and recently a lot of blogs have been showing them again. So I grabbed out Flecked and added two layers to this. Here is that step.

This Moxie completely changes the color of Flecked. In the bottle, you see green flakies, this looks pinkish green to me and I find this very cool indeed. I topped it off with my funky in the original base color. Here are the results.

I am loving how these flakies look! I thought I had ruined this with the layer of Moxie, but I didn't. How awesome and simple is this?
Now let me go cry as I chop my nails off.
Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?
