It's a Hat Trick

I must be in some type of mental polish slump.  It seems I have been unable to pick colors that go together or are so subtle, you can't see the design.  Today is another of those days.  Hence the hat trick title.  It means three in a row-and the last three of my manis have not lived up to my liking.

I don't really have anything to talk about today.  Another online guy fell through.  Yes I am still trying to find that special someone.  I don't even have good dating stories to tell you.  I do remember that I was having this crazy dream last night that there was this huge castle like building and they were cross stitching the whole thing.  They had the pattern taped to the balusters and the walls and it was the weirdest thing.  I wish I could remember more.

Do you remember your dreams?  I do mostly.  Not the entire scenario, but usually bits and pieces.  I just know that last night's was particularly weird.  Who cross stitches a castle?

Let's get on with it.  Here is your silly bottle shot. Not as impressive as my last post. You guys seemed to really dig that one!  I'll tell Random the Bear you said so.

It's an A England fest.  It's Beauty Never Fails, the new and improved Holy Grail (Monty Python rocks!) and Bridal Veil.  Taped to the Ott Lite is the Pueen plate I used today.

I know you have seen these combinations when these two color first came out.  That's why I waited til the hype died down to try them out.  I started with Holy Grail, which is revamped as a gold foily bling and an accent nail of Beauty, which is a greened out dark gold.  Personally, I'm not too hip on gold.  I wear sterling silver jewelry-just never got into gold.  I also liked the original Holy Grail better.  Good thing I own it!

Here are the starting shots.

Why is it when I try so hard to file square nails, they still come out squoval?  Frustrates the hell out of me!  Anyway, I am kind of digging Beauty, but Holy Grail is a little too gold for my taste.

I was going to stamp with the opposite color, but once again, it was turning out way too subtle.  Enter Bridal Veil which is a black holo.  I stamped with that on the gold and used the gold on Beauty.  I used my new Pueen plate Pueen17.  Here is that step.

Yes, once again, it's subtle anyway.  I ended this torture with my funky in the opposite color.  Here are the results.

I added a shade shot just so you can see how cool the design really is.  I am loving the design.  Really not sure I'm liking this one at all.  Hopefully, the next mani I do will be much more to my liking.  What do you guys think?

Do you have funky dreams too?

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
