It's a Pink Nightmare

I continue on with my obsession for dotticures.  Unfortunately, I have noticed that the prettiness of these have gone downhill since my first one.  I feel like I got lucky with my first dot mani and then from there, the color schemes have not had the same awesomesauce as that first one.  Maybe I'm just my own worst critic.  I will let you decide if today's mani is a pink nightmare or not!  We will have a vote at the end for something fun!

Now I am one who doesn't plan their manis.  I don't plan what colors to use on each day I do my nails.  I just stare at my polish until some kind of inspiration hits.  I do try to not have a bunch of same color manis in a row.  I do what I'm in the mood for be it layering, stamping and now dots.  I also never start over.  If it's a horrible disaster, I am way too lazy to start over like I know others do.  I just live with it until the next time.

Today's mani was a beeyotch. I could not get a base color to look right or lay right for nothing.  I actually restarted this mani five times, getting more and more frustrated as it went.  As the hours went by, I had almost given up and gone naked.  But then, inspiration struck.

Here we have today's silly bottle shot.

This is Bettina Bordeaux, Barry M Red Wine, Lilacquer Selkie, Nails Inc Pont Street Mews and Picadilly Arcade.  Yes people, it's a pink day. Check out that daguerreotype. It's a mom and her two kids.  Got to say they are a homely bunch eh?  I'm allowed to say that, because these are probably relatives of mine!

I started with Picadilly Arcade.  This is a cotton candy creme and just not for me.  But I do this for you pink lovers out there. Here are your starting shots.

Remember, this was after five restarts!  Next I stamped with Bordeaux using plate XL A. I neglected to get a shot of that step.  I then took my dotting tools and went to town. Here is that step.

I wanted to combine my love of stamping with dotting.  Not sure if this would have looked better with different colors or not.  Next I added a layer of Selkie, my favorite blue green shimmer and topped it off with my funky using Bordeaux.  Here is the final result.

Now I personally don't dig pink and think this mani is not my best work.  But just for fun, let's have a vote and see what you think! Use the reactions below this post.  We will see if this mani is a keeper or not!

Does anyone know what movie refers to a pink nightmare?

Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?
