As some of you may remember, I tried and failed at doing dots. It was a horrible thing and I just couldn't get up the courage to try again. I thought I was scarred for life. Destined to be a dot failure.
But then a miraculous thing happened. The Ice Queen did a tutorial on her blog just for me. Check out her dot mani
here and her tutorial
here. Finally a tutorial that actually took me step by step with pictures and an amazing thing happened. It was like a light bulb had gone off in my head. It was a dot miracle!
This post is dedicated to the Ice Queen. This manis for you!
First up, the silly bottle shot.
Holy crap that is a buttload of polish right? This is Bettina Giacinto, Gladiola, Orchidea, Ortensia-these are from the new Fiori collection. Then we have Bettina Marshmallow, Essie She's Picture Perfect and Girly Bits January Morning. These are on one of my dishes showing off the pattern. Cool eh?
I started with Marshmallow which is an off white creme. Here is that step.

I have to admit, that I am not loving this color all by itself. It's just too stark and foreign for me. I'm so used to dark and vampy. Next I took my dotting tools, got up the courage and went to town. Here is that step.

OMG right? I am terribly proud of myself here. These colors are stunning and my dots are just gorgeous aren't they? You can see I left the tip bare, you know what's coming right? I added a layer of January Morning which is a white shimmer, and topped it off with my funky using Orchidea. Are you ready for greatness? Ice Queen-are you ready to be dazzled? This is all because of you!

I am so in love with this mani. I hated to take it off! Isn't that shimmer gorgeous? I think it just adds so much to this. And those dots and those colors? Swooooooooooon people!
I am now addicted to dotting and will probably do way too many manis with dots from now on. I want to thank the Ice Queen sincerely for taking the time to show me how to do these dots. I am forever grateful for that. I really do appreciate what you did for me. Thank you!
If you haven't visited her blog, I suggest you go
there now!
Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?
