Holo Paws

Today I wanted to do a mani just for me.  I have days where I just want to do colors I love.  I'll give you some time to think about what color I am talking about...........

What's worrying me today, is that the Fall polish collections are coming.  It is the one season that is my downfall when it comes to polish colors.  Dark, vampy yummy.  I've already seen the China Glaze Safari collection and I have to say, I want most of it.  I am trying so hard to be on a no buy except for colors I just can't resist.  As you know, I have a love affair going with Elevation Polish and Enchanted Polish, so I buy everything they make.  These ladies are absolute geniuses.  I am slowly courting Lilacquer, who just put out a new collection based on the movie, The Fifth Element, which is one of my favorite movies of all time.  I bought her whole collection.  You have seen a lot of her last collection here on my blog.  So stay tuned for that. And because of she who shall remain nameless, I just had to buy four more Rescue Beauty Lounge polish. She knows who she is and is a bad influence on my no buy.

For today though, it's all Elevation Polish, whose new collection of colors just debuted on July 7.  Head on over and pick some up!  Did you come up with the color scheme for today?  Why it's brown of course!  Those of you who got it right are my true blog lovers!

Here is your silly bottle shot for today.

Check out the dapper dudes on this daguerreotype!  Can you imagine what's living in those mustaches?  I shudder at the thought.  I have a few more of these to show you.

This is Elevation Polish Sample #233 and a holo version of her Arches, which is one of my top faves of her polish. The Arches holo is the one on the left. These were made just for me and my love of all things holo and brown!  I started with Holo Arches and an accent of 233.  Here is that step.

Holo Arches is a burnt orange brown holo while 233 is not a holo, it is a rootbeer colored heavy shimmer.  Next I stamped using OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys because 233 was not dense enough for stamping.  I used plate DRK-A then simply finished it off with my funky in the opposite color.  Here are the results.

Isn't this gorgeous?  I have my kitties with me wherever I go!  In this instance, it was to the hardware store to buy more birdseed for the squirrels to fight over.  I have never heard such noise in a store in my life.  I asked the clerk if it was driving her nuts and she said it was.  Alarms, backup beeps, motors etc.  I was so happy when I left for some quiet.  Have you ever noticed how noisy the world is sometimes?

Anywho, this mani is stunning and I hope you like it as much as I do.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
