Warning! Do not read this post if you still believe in Santa Claus!
Recently, I came upon some information that has rocked my little blog world. As you know, I have been striving to make my cuticle lines as perfect as the big blogs do. I try so hard and I keep on practicing, but I never seem to be able to get them to absolute perfection. Imagine my shock and dismay when I found out that it is because these blogs photoshop their cuticle lines! Did you know this? I had no idea. I knew that there are some who do color correcting and I am ok with that. But to correct your cuticle lines? I feel like that is cheating somehow. How can one compete with a computer? It cannot be done. I am actually very disappointed to have found this out. Part of me thought someday, with enough practice I too would have perfect cuticle lines. Does this mean that all of us out there who don't photoshop will never be 'good enough' to be in the big blog league? I find this hard to comprehend. The playing field is full of cheaters and I prefer to be all real. I will never photoshop my pictures, what you see is what you get. I have lost that pedestal that I had put the big blogs on and now realize there really isn't a Santa Claus.
I do not know which ones do and which ones don't and I truly don't want to know. I think that I'm better off not knowing. But for me, the big blogs have lost their sparkle and shine and left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Let's get on to the silly bottle shot shall we?
Check out that dapper fellow in this daguerreotype! I just love this one. He seems to think he's all that, the way he is leaning on that table. I just love to fantasize about what these people did back then and what they were thinking while posing for this picture.
The polish is
SoFlaJo Dragon Heart,
Lilacquer Tenga,
Elevation Polish Froze to Death, Rescue Beauty Lounge Oriental Poppy and Girly Bits Shift Happens. Oh yeah, it's another layer fest!
I started with Poppy, which is from RBLs newest collection. Here is that step.

This is such a pretty vibrant orangey red creme. I think it's gorgeous! Next I added a layer of Tenga. Here is that step.

See the shimmer the Tenga adds? I just love these Lilacquer color changers! Next I did a layer of Dragon Heart. Here is that step.

Dragon Heart has holo sparkles in it with some red shimmer. Isn't it pretty? Next I added a layer of Shift Happens, Froze to Death and topped it off with my funky in the original Poppy. Here are the final results.

I must confess that after all these layers, my nails looked like they were done with acrylics! But oh how cool is the final result? So fiery red and sparkly. I just love this!
So what are your thoughts on the blogs who photoshop? Are you for or against it?
Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?
