Happy Hour at the Beach

No I am not sitting at the beach getting drunk while I write this post.  Although being at the beach is one of my favorite things.

Do you remember my huge blogversary giveaway with SoFlaJo polish?  Well, I have more from that brand to show you today.  Plus there are way too many pictures, because it's a step by step day.

But first, we must have another b*tch fest.  Oh how I love these!  Most of you know I am a cancer nurse.  If you didn't, now you do.  Anyway, there is an organization called JCAHO that regulates hospitals making sure that they all do the right things.  They make their rounds every few years and they are on to come in the next few days.  So of course, in the grand stupidness of things, we have to learn all this stupid crap to impress them should we be asked.  Also, there is a flurry of cleaning of paper and stuff that regularly accumulates in any clinic.  It's a big joke to me.  Why do you only do these things when the big dogs are coming?  Why not strive to be like this all the time? JCAHO must know that people do this just to be a** kissers.  It just makes me chuckle. All I know is that I will be hiding since I didn't listen to a damn thing they told us we needed to learn and can't answer any of the questions!

Now back to our regularly scheduled program.  This mani is an homage to SoFlaJo. Here is your silly bottle shot for today.

This is SoFlaJo Shirley Temple, Bettina Marshmallow, SoFlaJo Summer Breeze and Manhattan in front of my fishtank.  The ST and Manhattan are from her Happy Hour collection and the Summer Breeze is from her brand new collection Life's a Beach.  So now you get my silly title post!  You know I always have a reason for my madness!

I started with alternating nails with ST and Manhattan.  ST is a red shimmer and Manhattan is a bricky brown shimmer.  Here is that step.

Oh how gorgeous these are!  You know these are my kinds of colors!  Swoooooooon. Now the next step is a stamp with Marshmallow which is an off white using plate SDP-L once again.  Here is that step.

This plate is so well etched, that you can even see the word 'love' on this.  I got to get me more of these plates!  Next I added a layer of Summer Breeze, which is a purple color changer, that can also be worn on its own.  Here is that step.

The Summer Breeze adds a really nice shimmer to the white stamp as well as the overall design.  I do admit, it does kind of distract from the stamp itself so I'll need to use that one again!  However, I am loving this shimmer.  I finished things off with my funky in the original base color I started with.  Here are the glorious awesome results.

Isn't this gorgeous??  I love this!  These are all available on her website for sale.  There are many other colors to choose from as well.  I have two more from her new collection to show you so stay tuned for that!!

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
