So I was in the mood for me colors today.  Plus the sun was out in full force, so of course I had to wear holos as well!

Stupid really got on my nerves the other day.  I was minding my own business, faxing stuff when the fax machine malfunctioned.  I swore as I always do and Stupid looked at me and said, "you swear a lot."  Well let's just say no sh*t Sherlock, I have the mouth of a sailor as my mom used to say and all my coworkers put up with my belching and swearing.

So I said to her, "you're just figuring this out now? How long have you worked here?"  She had no reply.  As her next gripe was the fact that she had to get off her a** on a Friday afternoon to run a clinic and how dare they have a clinic on Good Friday.  I was not going to let that one pass, so I said it's a Catholic holiday, it's not a national holiday.  She didn't bother me the rest of the day.

As far as the secret meetings to fix things go? We haven't made any progress as we haven't really had the meetings.  I think I'm the only one who really wants to make some positive things happen.  I told the lady running the things that I was sorry that they cancelled on her right before the meeting was to start.  It really was a crappy thing for them to do.  But what do I know? I'm just a peon in the grand scheme of things.

I started with all Easter Morning.  This is a gorgeous pale yellow scattered holo.

I caught this just right and you can see the different rainbow sparkles.  As much as I love in your face linear holos, sometimes subtle holos like this one, are just as stunning.

All I did was my old stand by funky french.

Yup, yellow and brown, my kind of colors and a gorgeous holo rainbow just makes me happy.

Chaos and Crocodiles Protocol

So remember when I said I've been very good and haven't bought any polish lately?  Well this has been very true, although the Chaos new pastel holo set has been preordered as I told you I was going to do.

The sucky thing? When the preorder was supposed to start, the website was malfunctioning and there was no ordering to be had!  I was in a big ass panic.  I had visions of the preorder being delayed until I was in bed sleeping and I'd miss out on these new colors.  Yes I was really going there in my head.

I spent about ten minutes refreshing the screen and toggling back and forth to the Chaos Facebook page for updates.  I was having a serious panic attack!  What is it about a new polish collection and not being able to get it that causes such a reaction in us polish addicts?  After about ten minutes, the site finally came online and I immediately ordered the set and checked out.

Only then did I start to breathe normally again............

Now I am doing the preorder waiting game.  Am told 3-4 weeks.  Cross your fingers it's not that long.

Now let's get to today's gorgeous holo.  I actually did a very simple design for today.

How amazing is this??? Man I am so in love with this brand, it ain't even funny! So worth the money I spent getting this set.  I am one happy girl.

I didn't want to mess with this and didn't have much time, so I simply did a dot flower at the base.

Yes, once again I messed up the damn center dot.  Just pretend it's perfect! Stare into the holo goodness and all will be well again!

Liquid Sky Lacquer Bad A** Nails

Wow did I have a crappy day at work the other day. I had a patient literally leave me a message saying that because I don't work on Wednesdays, I am leaving my patients to die.

WTF??????

I had to listen to this message several times as well as have one of my coworkers listen to see if I was hearing that correctly.  There was no name left or phone number.  What a way to start the day.  I then called a patient and I instantly recognized the voice as the one who had left me that message.  This patient proceeded to then yell at me for about five minutes straight about how I suck.  I sat there saying nothing until they stopped yelling.  

I then asked, are you done? Then proceeded to calmly tell them that I am not OK with being yelled at, that I take good care of my people and being off one day a week does not make me less of a nurse. They ended up apologizing and I accepted the apology and went on with my work.  But the tone of the day had been set.  

Good thing I was wearing today's polish!  Here is the silly bottle shot.

How awesome is this???? I love this one! It's so blingy and such a great blue polish!  I just love holos like this!

ILNP Homecoming

Took a short break from the blog as my mom has been here for the past week.  Damn did we get a ton of work done!  Since my Dad passed, I haven't done anything around my house.  It really needed some good old fashioned Spring cleaning.

So that's what we did.  We started by cleaning out three of my closets. I was ruthless in what I kept and what I threw out.  I'm talking a ton of stuff.  It's now simply amazing how much room I have gained back in those closets and the piles growing around the house have now gone into the closets in neat, easy to access piles.  It's awesome!

My mom went to town while I was at work vacuuming and dusting the inside, plus she stained my front porch and front walls of my cedar shingled house.  I had picked out a darker rich red mahogany color and it looks oh so stunning.  But then the front door and shingles looked out of place.  So I picked out a kelly green paint and I love it, but mom is still undecided.  What's left to do is the door frame and window frames.  We are thinking a pale yellow to tie the green and mahogany together.

I had gone to Home Depot four times in one week.  The cashier poked fun at me saying he was going to put me on the payroll!

The last things we did were outside.  We weeded some of my driveway, raked up a ton of leaves, transplanted some daffodils, re-potted my house plants, and weeded the back garden as well as planting a new rose bush my coworkers got me in memory of my Dad.  I have to say I am quite exhausted, but happy at how good everything looks.

My mom did an amazing job and I am forever grateful for all she does for me.  I love you Mom!

Now because we were so busy doing all these things, I did little to no nail art.  Just polished and left them alone.
