Serendipity Now!!!

I have quashed yet another lemming of mine.  Today is the day I show it to you!

I have been quite sick the past week with a bad chest cold.  I mean hard core.  I missed a day and a half of work and generally wondered how long it was gonna take to feel better.  The weird thing was, it started in my chest.  Woke up that day wondering why my chest hurt some.  A couple of minor coughs that day, tired but nothing else.  The next day, the coughing started, then the BAM I'm down for the count.  It's not a cold I want to repeat.

Did you know that you never get the same cold twice?  Little factoid for you.  There are hundreds of cold viruses out there and each cold you get, you build immunity to so you never get that exact cold virus again.  If there were only one cold virus, we'd all be done by now with ever having colds again.  Wouldn't that be cool?

I'm finally starting to feel human again, actually ate some lunch after a week of nothing. I hate being sick don't you?

Ok onto the lemming.  I got it off Ebay and it's gorgeous!!  Here is your silly bottle shot.

This is Enchanted Polish Serendipity and September 2013.  I've been wanting that yellow holo for quite some time, but it's usually not found for a reasonable price.  I got lucky I think. You can really see the pink shimmer in this Serendipity.  Swoooooon.

I started with skittles.

No sun again so these are flash shots.  But do you see the hint of pink shimmer in the yellow? Yeah it has that.  I love it!!!

Next I stamped using my Cici&Sisi plate 9 and I ruined it, although my stamping is perfect I must say!

Did I mention that I tried to do a gradient before I stamped?  Yeah.  Not a good look.  I will most definitely need to wear this Serendipity again and not cover up the gorgeousness!

How has your week been?

Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?

Simple Tartan

As you've all probably seen by now, I've updated my blog sale big time.  Over 150 polish went in it this time. I spent hours taking pictures and writing the names etc. Literally hours ok?  Stupid me thought Blogger was saving the post as I went along, like it does now for a new post.  But what I didn't know, was that Blogger doesn't do that for updated already posted posts.  Which is what my blog sale was.

Imagine my horror when it reverted back to the old sale!  All that work.  My poor bestie got the foul mouthed swear laden text from hell as I was pissed!  So yup, I had to do the whole damn thing all over again.

So because of that, I was not going to do anything spectacular for my mani.  Still, I think it came out really cool.

Gellin update-I've soaked all of it off.  Yes, it was giving me some length, but they were splitting and ripping underneath where I couldn't get the gel to stay on.  Plus I was so over having to redo it once or twice a week.  I mean so over it.  It was way too time consuming.  So yup for now I am back to au naturel, which means nubville.  Plus they are very thin right now.  I'm back on the cuticle oil bandwagon.  I may add my gel supplies to my blog sale, but for now I'm just going to go without.

Here is the silly bottle shot.

This is Joe Fresh Caramel and Moss.  Even though I don't wear these often enough, I just couldn't sell them!

I started with Caramel and an accent of Moss.

Sorry I haven't had any sun to do different lighting shots for you!  See the nubs?  Ah well.

Next I simply added three stripes for a simple Tartan (I think it's called).

Yes I need to work on my stripes.  For the black and white, I added tape and used it as a straight edge with my striper polish.  The green is Moss and is freehand.  My hands shake so I'm not sure I'll ever have perfect lines, but I'm far from done practicing!

I am loving this simple mani-are you?

Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?

Holofest!

This mani started off as something completely different and when I got home from hair dye day, I actually took the whole thing off and started over.  That's two manis in a row I've done that now.  WTF is going on here????

So my hairdresser asked me to do a photoshoot, believe I told you this a few posts back.  Her ideas are to dredlock my hair and add dyed hot pink and orange extensions. I am going to be fab!  If the pictures come out OK, I will post them here for you guys to see.  It happens two weeks from the day I'm writing this but I'm not sure how long it will take for the photographer to get me the finished pics.  I will definitely take some with my iphone the moment it's happening!  As my mom will tell you though, I don't photograph well.  I'm always either blinking or looking stupid, it never fails.

Oh and medical facial update-I have faithfully used only the products I bought from them and changed my pillow cases daily as I was instructed.  I am amazed at the results so far.  Yes I had some small breakouts around PMS time, but they certainly weren't the huge painful cystic ones and they went away fast.  Currently, I have no acne at the moment, just the scarring.  My next appointment is this week and we are to start working on the scarring with more acid and dermabrasion this time.  So far I am very happy with the results.

Here is your silly bottle shot.

This is Enchanted Polish Dime Piece and Liquid Sky Lacquer Raspberry Dawn.  I had started with an ombre of black and grey holos.  I'll save that for another time.

I started with skittles.

For the first time in forever, the sun was actually out for true holoness!  These are two amazingly strong holos, the ones I prefer!

Next I did tape and dots and just random since this was the second time I had done my nails this day!  Here are the results.

WOW I need my sunglasses for all that bling!

I have more holos to show you so stay tuned.  I finally crushed my newest lemming!

Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?

Spring Flowers

I'm sitting here listening to an old classic in my life, an indie band called Hogleg that I used to follow around St Louis back in the 90s.  All these memories are flooding back in my head from those days when I was a professional partier.  Before life became a series of the same thing day after day.  Before life had too many adult responsibilities. Man how I miss those days back then.

Yeah sometimes I am so bored with my life that it makes me long for the days past. I am having one of those moments right now.  Before things I can't talk about here happened and made my life the way it is now. WOW that was kind of melodramatic eh?

Oh and the latest work drama?  Two nurses and a clerk have quit since the new boss. Plus she has decided that we need monthly mandatory staff meetings once a month at either 0730 before the work day starts at 0800 or at 5PM, when we get off at 4:30PM.  WTF! I can't keep up with all these damn changes.  What I do know is this: I have a hard enough time getting my ass there on time at 0800 and now you want me there at 0730? No way in hell am I staying late for a damn meeting.  Normally I skip these mandatory things, but until I feel her out I should probably play along.

Especially since my yearly evaluation and raise are due in April.

So I'll pretend but secretly look at Instagram while the meeting happens.

Today's mani was inspired by the fact that Spring still has not arrived yet.  Umm it's almost April people!  I thought if I did a mani like this one, it would make Spring appear.

Let's just say it didn't work since it snowed again.

This is Lime Crime Pastelchio, Barry M Spring Green, Cyan Blue and China Glaze Dandy Lyin Around.

I started with skittles.

Next I took out my art brushes and went to town, but at the same time I messed up the middle finger so I laid a pile of polish on and this is what happened.

Now my BFF told me this was awful, you can see the thick crap on the middle finger so I did what I never ever do, and that is start a nail over.  Here are the way better results.

Oh the glitter is Lynderella Love, Lace and Lilacs for those who must know!  Overall I think this came out pretty good for my very first free hand flowers ever!

I mean you can actually tell they are flowers!

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
