My first Twinsie with the awesome JudyRox

I've told you how I have become enamored with Instagram.  Well they do these things called twinsie posts where two of you create the same mani and show it off.  Well my favorite person on IG is @judyrox.  She is amazing and has 26K followers to my sad 1592 or so.  I asked her one day that when I become worthy of her, I would like to do twinsies with her.

Well she is so amazing she said I was worthy now.  HAHA.  A little white lie never hurts! So we came up with a design that I thought I could recreate.  Here is what the design was based on.

We planned on doing the chest area part.  Then I started to panic.  I can't freehand and this is way too much to tape out.  I tried to draw this on paper the size of my nail and it was not good.  So I freaked to Judy and she simplified it to this.

This is upside down, as the stripes were to be a double french. We also decided to use purple instead of pink.  Oh and get this! I actually have some free edge and length to my nails.  Please don't kick me out of the Nub Club yet, as I need to file them down a bit.

We had agreed to white on the two middle nails and the plain nails to be dark purple.

Yup, I have nails!  I'm not sure I like them shaped this way, but I needed the length for this twinsie post!

I then taped like a mad woman, f'd it up, got frustrated, redid the middle nail-I'm talking the white and everything-you know I NEVER do that, got it to where I was ok with the finished mani, went to top coat and guess what????  My damn Seche SMEARED it. You bet I was a cursing fool at that moment.  I mean JudyRox's manis are clean and gorgeous and no mistakes.  I couldn't post a fail next to hers! So I went back with a tiny brush and re did and cleaned up and re top coated.

I think I did pretty good considering.  I haven't see Judy's yet, she will be sending me hers later and I'll edit this to add hers.  I just hope it's not exponentially better than mine-but I know her and her manis are amazing.  Just you wait and see.  But I keep trying!

FYI-she uses acrylic paint and FREEHANDS this.  Do you see how perfect her lines are?  Not one mistake.  This is why she is amazing and my inspiration!  Here are the two together.

Obviously, mine is not perfect, but overall, I'm proud of myself for doing this.  It was really hard and time consuming.  I think I did pretty good.  I will do this again!
