Enchanted Polish HCFU, The Devil Wears Polish, stamping

Let's see, where to begin.  I got my nails done again.  I've decided I love them too much to stop now. I may change my mind in the future, but for right now, I'm keeping them. The crazy thing is, I thought it would take forever to soak them off.  Nope.  It took less than ten minutes.  I was shocked. It was a relief to know that, as I was picturing like half an hour like acrylics take. My nails didn't look too beat up either.  This time though, I had her do only two layers and I went a little longer.  They look so much better with the two layers.  I still had to have tips added, but next time, my own nails should be long enough not to even need the tips.  Plus hopefully the gap won't be as noticeable as they are in this post!  I'm also hoping that at some point, I can go three weeks, but it's not looking likely as my nails grow so fast.

In order to keep my nails up, I've given up my facials.  I am still using their facial products and at the moment, my skin isn't too bad.  But I just can't afford to do both.

Damn I need a sugar daddy!

Work is stupid as always.  Finally, the construction that was supposed to only take four months is almost over.  It's only been a year! It's supposed to be opened and using the space in 2 weeks.

I'm not holding my breath.

I'm also going to vent what I do every October.  I HATE PINK! Why is it, that the deadliest cancer, being lung cancer, doesn't have the recognition that breast cancer does? Do you even know what color ribbon is for lung cancer or what month is for lungs? I bet you don't.  It gets to me every October.

It's not that I'm not for breast cancer research etc, it's more that I wish lung cancer was seen as just as important.  It kills WAY more people than any other cancer.  Since it's one of the cancers I do at work, I lose a lot of patients and it makes me very sad every time.

Stupid work makes us do these monthly learning things.  Guess what they are always about?  Yup the pinkness spreads itself there.  I was so proud of myself for having a perfect record of not doing ANY of them until I got busted for September's article. Nope I still haven't done it yet, but I don't think they are going to forget this time.

On to the Brown Fest! Here is your silly bottle shot.

This is Enchanted Polish Hot Chocolate For Unicorns and The Devil Wears Polish White Chocolate Cheesecake.  I've worn this many times already!

I started with WCC and an accent of HCFU.  Damn it's hard to type with long nails!

In this first picture, you can very easily see the gap because it creates a shadow with light polish.  I had even buffed the gel down and added a layer of gel polish!

Anywho, this HCFU is to die for! If I were to have a custom created?  It would most likely be like this.  Perhaps a tad darker but yeah it's a stunner.

Next I actually tried to do some advanced stamping, took pictures of the steps that didn't turn out, and failed.  I started over and just did my regular stamping and added my FUNKY! Those with me from the beginning know this formula of mine well.  Two colors, stamping and a funky.

Ah nostalgia.

How gorgeous is this?  I used DRK-C plate for this.  I am in love and miss doing manis like this one.

Oh and for those who care-November and a white ribbon are for lung cancer.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

Anonymous Lacquer and Jaded Nail Co, Advanced Stamping

I told you last post that my iphone has been losing battery charge.  Apparently it's a thing.  Apple is giving some people a new battery, but when I check my serial number, I don't qualify but it says I've already replaced my battery.  WTF Apple? That is so not true.

I did google some stuff to save battery life and I was already doing most of it.  What I hadn't tried was resetting the settings, which I did do.  Then I had to redo all the settings.  Damn near took me an hour of googling and resetting.  The new iOS8 does have a feature that tells you what is killing your battery.  Guess what mine is? FACEBOOK!

For someone who refused for so long not to do Facebook, for it to be my top battery killer is pretty funny to me.  I mean I went to bed with 86% and woke up to 36%.  I kid you not.  While I slept with nothing going on.  That's uncool in my book.  I'll have to see if they do a new update to fix the issue. There's already a new update to the new update for some of the bugs.

The other issue? I need new glasses.  Damn I hate that! This getting old business sucks! I'm not quite at bifocals yet, but my distance is going.  My left eye gets better, while my right eye gets worse.  It's a $300 expense I was not counting on.  One thing I do hope happens with these new glasses is less migraines.  I am getting them so frequently lately it ain't even funny.

I had to leave work the other day in a big hurry it was so bad.

My betta is doing great. Still has no name.  But the increase to 13 pellets twice a day has him not eating his tail, and in fact, his tail and other fins have grown out and are more magnificent than ever. I can also see that his body has filled out.  When I first got him, his body was so thin, you couldn't see there were two sides to it.  Now, he's plumped out nicely and gorgeous.

He just needs a name!

Today I have two special polish for you.  Here is your silly bottle shot.

This is Anonymous Lacquer Blue Bloods and Jaded Nail Co "I don't know the name yet". I was given this last holo when I placed an order and it has no name on it.

Blue Bloods is part of the new Fall set and will be out October 1.

I started with skittles.

How gorgeous are these???? Such strong holo again, it freaked my camera out!

Next I did more advanced stamping using a Cheeky jumbo plate 3 Romance.  I used these two colors and nothing else.  Next post will have the tutorial, I promise!

I admit, I picked a too hard design for my second attempt at this technique.  I'm still working out the kinks and the how tos.  I am pretty happy with how this came out though!

Look how long my nails are!!!! This is the post where I had buffed the gap down. Hopefully it's not too noticeable.

Please check out these two holo makers as they do amazing stuff!

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

Barielle, Anonymous Lacquer and Advanced Stamping

Last post I told you about going to the AT&T store.  I did, got there when it opened and was there for two and a half hours!!!!  I kid you not.  I was there for that long to take care of all I needed to.

So I've ordered my iphone 6 plus, changed my phone plan and traded in my ipad2 and my iphone4S for a brand new ipad air.  Let me tell you this-that air is an amazing, fast awesome tablet.  I am in love! Compared to the ipad2-it's way better.  The speed, the graphics, the weight, everything is awesome.  And I paid a sweet price.  I didn't pay the $37 that I had told you as they mislead me, but I did pay only $130 instead of full price of $629.  Since I really was going to buy myself one for Christmas, it was a very good deal that I couldn't pass up.

By the way, those that have upgraded their software to ios8?  Is it killing your battery too? It is mine for sure!

The other topic is my gel nails. It has only been TEN days and I have huge growth and a huge cuticle gap that no way can I ignore.  This means I have to go get them done every two weeks, which is a huge expense and time killer.  On the other hand, I do love them, the polish never chips, and I have pretty nails.  Maybe I'll try two layers instead of the three we did and see.

What I did do yesterday was buff down the gap and I can still see it, but it's not as noticeable.  People are telling me to add a layer of my gel polish, which I will do today. That may help even more.  But no way am I going to get three weeks out of this.

For now, I've decided to keep my nails until it gets to be a pain in my butt!

Today's post has my first advanced stamping attempt.  I did a very simple one and it came out great! I'm hooked indeed.  I will take pictures of the steps and show them to you in a couple of posts as I keep forgetting to take them!

Here is the silly bottle shot.

This is Barielle Taupe Notch and Boho Chic from the new Fall Me Couture collection. I showed you a sneak peek last post.  In the middle is a new Anonymous Lacquer called Rainbows After Dark. This is a topper but could be used on it's own.  It's a black holo with flakies!

This is part of the new Fall collection that will be released October 1.  You NEED this one. Just wait and see what it does!

I started with Boho and an accent of Taupe.

You know how I love my creams!  This green is to die for!  I love it!  It's actually a one coater for sure. Next I did my advanced stamping using this same green to tie it together.  I then added a layer of Rainbows After Dark to the green.

Here's the results.

Flash

Flash
It's not quite as black in person-the green shows more-but this holo is so strong, it freaked my camera out!  I love that! I used MoYou artist 07 plate for the stamping. See the green dots? That's the advanced stamping.  You basically color in the stamp before putting it on your nail.

I promise a tutorial is coming!

I am hooked on this new stamping technique as I have missed my stamping overall.  I hope you love this! Check out Anonymous Lacquer and Barielle for these awesome colors!

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
