Stupid Camera

I thought I had the coolest color combination going on in my head.  My camera had other ideas.

Why is that? Why can't a simple camera see purple as it is?  There is also a hint of a dupe on this post, but trust it is my camera playing tricks on your eyes.

Before we get on with it, I wanted to say thank you to all the well wishes I got on my last post.  I'm happy to be back too!

Today's topic is one we have visited before.  But one I need to vent about once again. It's all about my fight to feed the pretty birds and not the squirrels.  I am passive aggressive when it comes to this.  Yes it makes me mad, but it's not like I really do much about it.  My dad on the other hand, treats it like it's him against them and he's not about to lose.  When he visited me recently, every time a squirrel got on the feeder, dad would chase him off.  Mom and I would just laugh and say give it up dad, but nope, he was on a mission.

Needless to say, he did not win that war.  I had to go pick up more seed and while I was there, I perused the other feeders.  I had given up that there truly is a squirrel proof feeder.  Then I saw one that cost $5 and there is no outside cage for the squirrel to grab on to, just a couple of bars for the birds to land on.  I thought hmmmm, maybe this would at least slow them down.  I hung it up and it took a couple of days but the squirrels outsmarted me again.  They chewed through the plastic and the seed all fell to the ground.  I never actually saw any birds eating on the feeder either.  It was like it confused them or something.

Score-squirrels one, me zero.

Back up went my other feeder.

Now on to happier things.  Here is the silly bottle shot.

This is Picture Polish Jade, Julep Eden and Picture Polish Kryptonite.  The plants are my lily of the valley sprouts coming up to celebrate my birthday.  Although this year, they are late coming up.  Usually they bloom right on my birthday this Friday.  They are my all time favorite flowers, but after they are done blooming they are pretty boring plants the rest of the time!  These were transplanted from my gramma's garden in New York and now live in Virginia with me.  It's a nice memory to have.

Now as you can see, my camera is freaking out on the Jade and the Eden.  Eden is a gorgeous dark blurple, but my camera insists that it's blue.  AARRGGH!

I started with Jade, which is the color of the moment is it not?  It seems to be everywhere right now.  Minty green shimmer.  I just love it.  This seems to look like my Chick Gavie Green but IRL Gavie is darker.   Here are the starting shots.

Why is it when I think my nails are a perfect square shape, I see pictures and they aren't?  Why can't I file a stupid square shape??????

This is so much cooler in real life!  Next I stamped with the opposite color using Bundle Monster plate BM306 then added some random Kryptonite dots.  Here is that step.

I finished this up with my funky as always.  Here are the results.

This came out pretty cool I guess.  Just wish I could have shown you the true color scheme.

I think I'm going to try the skittlette thing that's going around.  I'm not sure I like it though.  Random designs on each nail with the same color scheme?  May be too hip for me to handle, but I will at least try it out!

I also have new Cheeky plates on the way!  I can't wait to play with those!!!

I have decided to just live in harmony with the squirrels.  I know the birds get their seeds too.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
