Believe is or not, I was not always the vamp lover that I am today. I used to love the clean look of the classic french and thought that was the only mani for me. In 2004, I discovered the dark colors. I remember the first time I did my own nails. I thought it was better to have polish all over your skin to make sure each and every area of the nail was polished. I remember my relatives making fun of me with polish all over my fingers as I waited for it to dry. Then it would take so long to clean up. This was before I even knew what pure acetone was.
Ah the good ole days right? You'd never have guessed that my first love was a sheer pink sparkler. Be prepared. Not just for the pinkness, but also the near nakedness of my beat up yellowed nails. As my title suggests, I had a really great idea. But my execution leaves something to be desired. This is not my best work by far, but I was trying something different.
Here is the silly bottle shot for today.
This is Essie Nude Beach, OPI Pirouette My Whistle and Essie Pure Pearlfection. Notice the level of the Nude Beach. This is probably my third bottle of it. It's been sitting sad and alone for way too long.
I started with two layers of Nude Beach. This is a gorgeous shimmery sheer pink. Not too girly. Here are the starting shots.

Next I added a layer of Pirouette and a layer of Pearlfection. Here is that step.

Essie Nude Beach was my first polish love and I still think it's stunning. What was your first polish love?
Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?
