A Holly Spin

As much as I love a cloudy day, it's getting a little old here in my part of the world.  It seems like forever since I've been able to do a sunshine shot for my manis.  It's starting to bum me out!

It would be so much different if the clouds were spewing piles of snow but that ain't happening either.  Oh and there won't be anymore driving of the snowplow that I showed you the other day.  My little brother bought the house we grew up in from our parents and now he pays someone to plow the driveway since it's no longer my dad's responsibility.  So the snowplow sits in pieces never to be used again.  Don't get me wrong, I'm glad my brother bought the house so it stays in the family but there are collateral changes that I'm still getting used to.  This being one of them.

Before I get all maudlin on you, let's talk about more OPI shall we?  Here's your silly bottle shot.

This is OPI Skyfall and Gouda Two Shoes.  I started with Skyfall which is a rusty red and an accent nail of Gouda that has this gorgeous gold shimmer, but without the sun, you can't see it very well.  Here are the starting shots.

Gouda really brings out the brown in this red doesn't it?  Next I stamped with the opposite color using SDP plate Q.  Here is that step.

Pretty cool so far eh?  Well I think the next step might have ruined this.  I'll let you decide.  I added my latest obsession Northern Lights holo and my funky.  Here are the results.

I'm not so sure about this.  What do you guys think?  Is this a fail or not?  This pattern may have been best saved for red and green like reality.

Maybe if I had sun shots I would have liked this better. Who knows?

Stay tuned for tons of new Elevation Polish coming your way!

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
