I am continuing on with my love of Rescue Beauty Lounge. So many colors I have yet to try-it's a damn shame. That's what that is.
I put in a few hours at work the day after Thanksgiving. I'm so not one to do the whole Black Friday crack of dawn shopping crap. I needed to do some hours so I'd have enough to go home for Christmas and then share my niece's mani creations! I can't wait!!
I get to my desk and what do I find? Work from my coworker, asking me to do her work for her. WTF?? Oh hell no. It'd take too long to explain the intricacies but let's just say each cancer has a nurse at my job. I'm the coordinator for lung, head and neck, prostate, kidney, bladder, penile and testicular cancers. She does breast cancer. I know nothing about breast cancer. Each cancer has their own therapies and unless you do that cancer, you are clueless. Here's the other thing-I do all those cancers on a part time work schedule. 28 hours a week and I feel I do 40 hours of work in that amount of time. There are THREE breast cancer nurses who work full time, and she wants me to do her work? First off, I know nothing about boobs, other than I have them and hell no I am not doing her work for her.
Please don't think that I am not a team player. Again, there are office politics involved and it'd take pages to explain it all. But the work she wanted me to do wasn't due until Tuesday afternoon. This was a Friday. So she and her two coworkers have all day Monday and half of Tuesday to do this work she's shoving off on me. Now do you see? I put a big old note on there and said I didn't have time to do this work-sorry. As I write this, tomorrow is Monday and she better not try and start something with me.
Ok enough of that. I'm sure all of you who work can relate to similar stories at your job. Isn't there always someone trying to put work off cause they're just plain lazy?
Here's your silly bottle shot for today.
Yeah I know, getting pretty boring with the bottle shots!! This is Chick Polish in Wild Rooster and Rescue Beauty Lounge Revamp. This used to be called Black Russian. I thought these two would play nice together.
I started with Rooster and an accent nail of Revamp. Rooster is a gorgeous fire engine red, and as much as I love it, it stained like a b*tch. Revamp is a blackened red with red shimmer. Here are the starting shots.

Aren't these pretty together? Next I stamped with the opposite color using SDP-S plate. Here is that step.

Now I did not like how this came out at all. I was so not happy with it. I figured I needed to do something to fix this. So once again, I grabbed my Northern Lights holo top coat and went to town. I finished up with my funky and all was right with the world. Here are the results.

Oh yeah. My theory is a little sparkle always makes things better. What do you think?
I'll update you on a later post about the Monday showdown at work.
Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?
