Listen to the Silence

Everybody's home is their castle.  When I'm home, the rest of the world disappears.  I can be myself and not wash my hair or wear sweatpants, even just walk around naked. Which I actually do at times in the summer when I get home and I'm sweating from being out in the heat. Don't knock it til you've tried it.

Lately, my fish tank's filtration system has been extremely loud compounded by the fact that I have cathedral ceilings and that amplifies sound.  It seriously has been driving me nuts that sound.  I'm one who likes the quiet.  I live in the woods just to be surrounded by silence and the sound of birds chirping.  Well this grinding sound has really been stressing me out.  I called the manufacturer and found out that it most likely is the impeller assembly (you don't need to know what this is) that is causing the sound.  It's the tiniest little part with a magnet and I just couldn't fathom that all that annoying sound was coming from this small part.  I went online and ordered one up.  I installed it this morning and guess what?  Total and utter silence reigns again in my house.  It is glorious.  I stood there this morning and just basked in it.  Of course, my cats started looking at me funny and decided they needed to meow to break my reverie.

I've literally spent the day just amazed and happy to have my quiet back.  I felt like I should have bought a case of those little parts for when I need them again!  At least I now know what to buy for when the grinding sound starts to creep back into my life.

Oh and nothing on the dating story.  Am still waiting to see if he asks me to hang out this weekend. We've been texting all day and have talked on the phone.  He's out of town next weekend for Thanksgiving so I'm hoping!  I don't want to ask him, it's the principal-but if it gets too close to Saturday, I may cave and ask him already!

Here is your silly bottle shot for today, with the tiny noise maker from my fish tank.

Can you believe that tiny thing can be such a noise menace?  Anywho, this is Chick Polish in Moss and All A Twitter.  Never mind my chapstick in the background!  I'm addicted!

I started with Twitter, which is a robin's egg light blue and an accent of Moss, which is a dusky dark seafoam green. Here are the starting shots.

Oh yeah, Chick rocks it again! They really do a mean creme polish.  I have begged Julie, the owner not to ever go over to the glitter side!  HAHA!

Next I stamped with DRK-C and the opposite color.  Here is that step.

Wait til you see what I've got for you at the end of this post.  It'll make sense to you then!  Next I added two layers of my old friend, Selkie, which I just realized I forgot to put in the bottle shot. Here is that step.

Isn't that Selkie shimmer awesome?  I still love it to this day!  Now I finished this off with my funky as usual.  Can't live without my funky you know!  Here are the results.

Now for the cool part.  My thumb nail is larger than my other nails and more of the stamp design showed on it.  So I did a step series of just my thumb in macro for sh*ts and grins.  Here is that.

Final mani-sun
Thought this an appropriate mani while talking about my fish tank!  I must say I am in love with this Chick Polish!  I'm addicted to their cuticle oil and can't wait to show you the other colors I have from this brand.

For those who are paying attention, my big bad blog sale will post on Black Friday, November 23 so mark your calendars for that!  I figured that an appropriate date for that sale too!

I'm all about the appropriate today aren't I?  Sh*t!

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
