Bettina Ethereal, Delicate, Graceful and Celestial

My betta fish is sick.  I think he may not make it.  I almost took him out and put him out of his misery, but mom told me to hold off and let nature take its course.  I've only had him since August, am not sure I would try another betta.  I quickly googled care of goldfish and they're saying you need like a 90 gallon tank for three goldfish, and do weekly water changes.

Um hell no.

I'm trying to have less tank cleaning and water changes thank you very much.  I may just disassemble it and leave it be for now.  I'm still contemplating things.

It's about three weeks until we bury my dad.  It's getting so close and I'm worried how it will affect me.  I'm finally at the point where I'm not crying my eyes out every day and I'm pretty sure this will put the grieving process back at square one.

This mani for today I actually did on my birthday.  For the first time ever, my birthday came and went and I just didn't care.  I'm normally one who loves their birthday-it's your own special holiday. Not this year.  I hope I haven't lost that birthday feeling forever.

Anyway, I want to get to it.  Here is the silly bottle shot.

Definitely a light cement grey.  Next I stamped using MoYou Roxy 2 and Graceful, then I taped off half the nail and covered with the other two polish.  Here's what it looks like.

Oh yeah, I added holographic tape and studs as well.  The tape didn't last much longer than these pictures, but look how cool this came out!!!! My birthday nails.  I'm in love.  For real!

Enchanted Polish Sweet Mint,Cotton Candy Taffy and Bettina Enchanted.

What goes better with Enchanted then more Enchanted?  I totally just realized that when I wrote out this title. This mani came to me in my sleep.  It happens that way sometimes.  I have to say that this one is freakin awesome if I do say so myself.  And I do!

Work is work.  But I've got a good Stupid story for you.  Now most normal people come back from vacation rested and happy right? Not Stupid.  She called in slick Monday the day she was to come back.  The next day she showed up claiming how she had hurt her back because the hotel was on the far side and she had to carry her luggage all the way over there and it was just so hard and blah blah blah.

I swear I lose IQ points listening to her.

So then she starts in saying how she knows she needs to exercise to help her back etc.  When asked what exercise she does now? Her response was walk her dog. There goes another ten IQ points for me.  So her two coworkers of course coddle her and wouldn't let her do any work (not like she does any anyway) and she spent her day stapling business cards to pamphlets.  Sh*t.

Oh and the coup de grace?  She had to leave the room because she couldn't call her husband from our office as their phones are incompatible with each other.  So she had to go to the 5th floor to call him.

Um WTF? Your phones are incompatible, but they work on the 5th floor? Whoops there goes another bunch of IQ points.  I cannot keep listening to this stupid crap day in and day out.  I'm gonna end up an imbecile!

Does anyone out there even know what day it is???? Four years ago, I wrote my very first Fingers post.  I cannot fathom the fact that I have been typing this crap for four whole years! It feels like yesterday when I started this thing.  And now look where we are.  It's an insane thing for sure!

Bettina Heavenly

I got the latest Bettina Ethereal set.  There is no such thing as a no buy when it comes to my beloved Bettina.  I now own over 100 of them! This set is all dusky, smoky greyed out colors and I am in love big time.

Even though you are reading this later in the week, I'm actually writing this on my birthday.  This year it's just not the same.  For the first time, I won't get that call from my dad wishing my a happy birthday.  I'd give anything to have that back.

My coworker made me one of those cakes marketed to kids that have the crazy bright colors.  Mine was a mixture of neon blue and orange cake with neon yellow frosting.  And before you ask, yes it stains your tongue a bit.

I'm not doing anything special for myself this year.  I cleaned my fish tank yesterday.  Hadn't realized it has been six months since I last cleaned it.  Whoops.  So I did a good 90% water change to a 30 gallon tank.  As much as I hate that chore, it sure does look good when it's nice and clean.  Now I've got the laundry going, you know, normal Sunday stuff.  I didn't even feel like doing anything special with this mani.

So before I get the whole world depressed, let's get to it!

So simple, but so pretty.  I am in love with this Ethereal collection!  Oh and I finally caved and bought the Essie Cashmere set on Ebay.  Found it for $20 when retail the set is $54! I couldn't pass that up!  Stay tuned for those!

Polish My Life Stripped and Lots of Bettina

Even though this blog auto posts to Facebook, I'm not really a huge Facebooker.  There are those that post every damn second of their day.  Going to the store, going to the mall.  Nope not me, not ever.  I do have a personal Facebook account (I am a real person you know!), but I NEVER go on there.  I had all these plans to simply use it to look at pictures of my nieces and nephew.  That never happened.  I have the privacy set to the highest level, but my name is still searchable.

For some weird reason, I went on there today.  I had seven friend requests.  One was a girl from high school-deleted.  One was my cousin-deleted.  One was a sibling of a guy from high school-deleted. Then there are a couple of others that I'm like-who the f*ck are you? This is why I don't use my real name on the internet.  There are sketchy people from my past party days that I just don't need them finding me.  Sadly, if you Google my name, it tells you everything you need to know to stalk me as you have to use your real name to make up a fake name to use for your blog and social media.

Does that even make sense????

So one of these people that I was like who are you-I just realized who he was.  It was when I was living in St Louis going to nursing school hanging out in coffee shops studying.  This guy at that time, was a crack addict.  I was pretty naive about some things back then and had no idea.  He then stole a butt load of money from the coffee shop he worked at and I hung out at.  I think we may have dated.  He then hung out at my apartment all that weekend.

The following week when I went back to the coffeeshop to hang out, I was accosted by the owner.  I was asked where is this guy? Did you know he stole all this money? Yeah.  It was not cool. I never heard from him again until the joy that is Facebook.

Want to know what I did with the request? DELETED.  I mean really? Does he really think I want to be Facebook friends and pick up where we left off? I'm assuming he can message me an apology if he wanted to without me friending him right?

Anywho, long story short, this is just one freakin example of why I maintain my alias of Fingers.
