Holo happiness at the beach

Once again, I bring you tidings from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Oh how I love it here!  Too bad, it's almost over.  I'm getting sad just thinking about that.

Today's mani is another one of my subtle ones.  Remember I told you that I did not make good polish choices when I was packing so I have had to make do!  I have also been waiting for the sun before I wore the polish I am featuring today.

Here is your required silly bottle shot.

My mom actually found this shell with the critter still in it.  I will spare you the details of how she got the critter out!  Pretty cool shell though eh?  It's going home with me!

This is A England Dragon and Princess Sabra from Adina's new collection.  I am a total A England fanatic.  I just love what she creates.  I alternated the Sabra with the Dragon because I couldn't decide which one I liked better!  Here are your shots.  Once again, I have cropped out the scary cuticle for your viewing pleasure.

Before we get to the next phase, here are some more sunrise shots for you.

Isn't is just breathtaking?  I sure think so! Now back to the mani.

Dragon is the green holo and Sabra is a tan holo.  I am swooning over these!  I then took my plate DRK-A and stamped with the opposite color.  I added some brown dots and topped it off with my funky french.  Here are the results.

Isn't this awesome?  I know it's a subtle design, but I just love how it glows.  These two colors go so great together, don't you think?

I leave you with another beach shot.

I hope you are enjoying being at the beach with me.  I really love it here.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

Hurried beach mani

Every February, I meet my parents in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for a few days.  I am there as we speak!  Normally, when I know I'm gonna be on vacation, I set up a bunch of posts so I don't have to stress about my blog.  Well this time I didn't.  Today's mani is not my best work, nor are the pictures in my normal poses.  My cuticles on my pointer finger are scary and I didn't want to cause you all nightmares so I cropped them out.

I was in a total hurry when I did these-we were going outlet shopping (hello new purse!). I almost didn't even post these.  I was not thinking clearly when I picked out the colors of polish I brought with me either! I'm embarrassed by them!  So to soothe your eyes, I have included several sunrise beach shots that are very cool.

First up, the silly seashell filled bottle shot.

I just love picking shells up from the sand.  My house is filled with them.  I have been coming here since I was a little kid.  That's a lot of shells!

Here we have Essie Armed and Ready and OPI Wooden Shoe Like to Know.  I started with the Essie.  This is a cool olive khaki with gold shimmer.  It's totally my kind of color. Here are your shots.

This really is a cool color!  I just love it.  Before we continue, here are some sunrise shots of the ocean.

I just love the way the sun glows through the clouds.  Maybe before I leave, I will get a sunrise without the clouds!

Back to the mani.  I then took Sally Hansen Whirlwind White and plate DRK-A and stamped kitty paw prints.  Since I am away from home, I miss my babies!  I then added some dots and topped it off with my funky french with the OPI.  Here are the results.

Again, I apologize for the quality of these pictures, I really didn't want to show my angry cuticle on my pointer finger.  While I like these two colors together, I am just not happy with the way this mani came out.  It's a big fail in my book!

Let's instead go back to the ocean sunrise shall we?

Oh how I just love being at the ocean.  I wish I could live in a house on the beach. Wouldn't that just be amazing?  I sure think so!  Plus, the sound of the ocean waves are soothing and overall being here just makes me happy!

On a side note, I have a nice purse I want to sell.  It's a B Makowsky bag and I'll put some pictures on my blog sale page.  It's in almost new condition since I have only used it about once a month. If you are interested, check out my blog sale page.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

Purple as purple!!

Once again I give you a cryptic title! Does it intrigue you or cause you chagrin?  In any case, I'm not changing it!

In past posts, I have had a lot of trouble showing the polish colors accurately. Especially purples.  My new camera actually shows this purple as purple.   At least in two of three lighting scenarios.  But we can't always have perfection right?  So now you get my title right?

Here is your silly bottle shot for today.

Here we have Pure Ice Heartbreaker, Zoya Pinta, Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie and Nails Inc Albert Place.  In front is one of my nail art pens.

I started with Scrangie.  This is a polish that was designed by the blogger Scrangie.  It is a pretty purple blue duochrome.  It is stunning.  Here are your shots.  Now the shade shots are not accurate-but the sun ones are!

I'm getting even better at taking the pictures.  These aren't blurry at all!  I'm so very excited that my camera is showing this as purple! WOOHOO!!

Isn't this a pretty color??  I just think it's divine.  I then took my plate DRK-A and stamped with the Nails Inc Albert Place, doodled with my art pen and topped it off with my funky french in Pinta, which is my fave purple of all time so far!  I then did a layer of Heartbreaker over the whole thing to add some extra sparkle.  Here are your results!

After seeing these pictures, I know for sure I am keeping this new camera.  These pictures are amazing.  Way better than my old camera.  Isn't this a cool mani?  I just love the colors here. I think they just compliment each other so well.

I tweeted Scrangie a picture and she liked it!  Got to love affirmation from the big bloggers out there!  Makes me feel like I'm doing something not sucky!

I'd also like to take a moment to address the new Blogger word verification system for commenting.  I follow almost 400 blogs if not more and it's become tedious to now type in two words to verify a comment I left.  Plus, my tired old eyes can't even tell what the letters are half the time.  Please, if you do use word verification, stop it! If you must have control over your comments do the approval method.  I'm not going to be able to leave as many comments because this new system slows me down way too much!

Ok rant over.  I hope you enjoyed this mani as much as I have.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

Pink Again? WTF?!?

What are you guys doing to me?!? I am wearing pink again???  I don't even know who I am anymore!

Let's start this post with an I hate Valentine's day statement.  I truly hate that day.  I think it's a Hallmark holiday that puts too much pressure on people in relationships and pressure on people who are single.  I have also been dumped on VDay. So yes people I hate Valentine's Day!

Why do I say this?  Wait til you see my mani.  I did it solely for you guys.  I think I'm going soft!  We MUST change that!

First up, the silly bottle shot.

This is Layla #07 and Bettina Preppy.  The Layla is another Italian polish I got from Simona.  I couldn't find a name to this polish but it is fire engine hot cherry red.  The only problem I had was it was runny and pooled in my cuticles.  Not fun.  I am still trying to figure out my new camera, so these pictures are still blurry on the edges.  Can anyone help me figure out why that is???  Here are your shots of #07.

Isn't this a sexy red?  I think so!  I just love the shine on this one.  I then took my new plate from Aline A02, stamped with Whirlwind White, doodled with my art pens and topped it off with my funky french in pink.  Here are the results.

This is what I actually wore on Valentine's Day just for you guys.  I also wore a pink shirt to work-I pinked out! I actually really like how this came out!  It's very cool.  I can't believe I wore pink again.  What is wrong with me?

Oh well.  I just want all of you to know that I am truly grateful to have all of you in my life and I appreciate every one of you who stops by and reads my little corner of the internet world.  So I wear pink for you!

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
