A Blues Eye Look and a Selfie

If I'm doing my math correctly, today's post is number 800! Holy crap that's a lot of words and pictures and stories.  Plus it's posting on Thanksgiving Day! Since I'm home alone with five days off in a row, those of you like me can read my blog and not feel as alone.

Sound good or just sad and pathetic?

I can hear my fishtank's motor from the next room.  It is driving me bananas.  I just need to replace the impeller if I have one.  It's this little tiny thing with a plastic fan on one end and a magnet that makes the filtration system work.  And it costs like $20!! So I don't like to replace them until absolutely necessary.

I have cathedral ceilings in my house so the noise amplifies.  So far, I've just been smacking it to get it to stop making the noise.  I may wait til morning as I'm feeling too lazy now to mess with it.

I've ordered two more Ofra liquid lipsticks and seven more makeup geek eyeshadows.  Why seven? My Z palette holds 27 and I had 20.  Trust that I will need more in the future, but this time I focused on the lighter brighter colors as I so loved that yellow look from last post.

Oh and I am two payments away from totally owning my car.  I'm actually thinking about trading it in for a new car.  There are pros and cons to both sides.  Cons being another car payment, pros being getting more for your trade in as you haven't driven it into the ground and having a new car instead of a four year old car.

Driving home the other day I got yet another damn glass spider ding in my windshield.  I now have three of them.  Luckily they are all on the passenger side.

Work wise, the sh*t is still the same.  Someone told me they had nicknamed Annoying Scarecrow as she is so skinny.  We've been over this before.  I am skinny, this chick is gaunt.  It's really scary.

There is talk of a standard of pay scale raise for the nurses.  I don't ask I don't assume and I don't expect.  This keeps me from getting disappointed.  Well one of my coworkers emailed the boss asking how much she was to get.  Well in a nutshell she ain't getting any because she's in a different pay scale due to her job title.  Even though I'm doing the same job, I didn't get the title. So right now, if I get this raise, it's working in my favor. She's been making more money for years doing nothing because she got the title.

I feel no sympathy.  You shouldn't get a raise if you are already making more than the standard nurse. That's why it's a standard nurse raise.  Not a titled nurse raise. It's complicated and she's done nothing but whine and sigh over and over about how unfair it is and how she's doing the job of three people.

I'd like to know what three people she's talking about as Stupid didn't do a damn thing and the lady who retired took a whole shift to do one thing.

It boggles the mind I tell you.

Oh and as far as the flu shot goes? As you read this, I will have succumbed to pressure and gotten it before the 11/30/15 deadline.  Since I am off for five days thru Thanksgiving, I didn't want to take the chance to be sick on that Monday and not be able to get the shot.

It ain't worth losing my job over.

Now let's get to it.  Damn this is a long post!

This is a look with makeup geek Dragonfly which is a light teally blue green and a bunch of other blues.  Sort of matches the damn wall doesn't it???

I do not like this straight on photo-but it gives you a better view of the look.  This is Ofra Pasadena liquid lipstick.

Here are the close ups.

Again, this had Dragonfly, Time Travel and Ardell Wispies for the lashes.  I really thought this was a pretty look.

I hope you are enjoying these.  Please have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?

My Yellow Green Eye Look and a Selfie

Last night when I was putting my book away and getting ready to turn off the light, I looked down at the floor and I kid you not, it was Cujo the freakin hugest spider on my rug.  This thing was hairy and big (needs to be repeated here) and at least the size of a 50 cent piece.

To my international peeps that's about 3cm!

This is one of those few times when I wish I had a man in the house.  I love spider webs, I've told you that, but I have a deal with the spiders.  I don't mess up your web, you stay outside.  It scares me to wonder how something that big even got in.  And what if I hadn't seen it? Would it have crawled up onto my bed and on my face while I slept?

Yes people, this is where my mind goes.

I jumped up, grabbed a paperback book-it's what I have handy by my bed and squished the f*cker.  I then got my tongs and a paper towel and scooped up the remains.  I am still in shock over it.

Another story for you.  When mom was here, she bought a tea light thingy from Yankee Candle.  It holds three of them and it was plastic, had pretty Christmas Holly on it.  It was nice.

Then mom lit candles in it.

Apparently, a few minutes later, it caught on fire! You see it's thin plastic and the tea light holders are too close to the plastic and yup, fire.  She put it out so nothing awful happened, but the potential is there you know?

I called the company and told them of this, asking them to please take this product off the shelf, that someone was going to get hurt or worse. I asked dude to take this seriously and make sure higher ups and the lab checks this out. I was also asked to send an email with the story and pictures. Which I did.

Imagine my chagrin when I got up this morning to two form emails asking me to one-write what happened with pictures (WTF?!?!) and two-to return it to the store for a refund.

This only tells me that no one bothered to read past my subject line which read "defective product." As I had sent them pictures and the story and a refund was not my purpose for contacting them. This morning, I tried to leave a review on the product page, but it has to be reviewed by them before it posts so who knows if it'll even be shown.

We did our part.

This post I decided to do something a little different.  I actually took selfies at work as well as the closeups and at least for this post I'm putting them all in one.  I may change things up again in the future.

This was a look I wore last Thursday at work.  I went bright and cheerful and YELLOW.  You heard me right people.  And it was freakin cool as all get out.  I forgot I own the Morphe Brights palette and you bet I plan to use more of that one soon.

Here is my selfie.  Ignore that it is taken at work, in the bathroom.  I tried to figure out how to remove objects from photos, but my Photoshop is too old a version for that.

Use your imagination people. I look better with fresh makeup and not after a hard day's work!

I can't believe that after almost five years of refusing to show my face, I am now intentionally doing that very thing! So this is what I wore.  Here is another view.

This is with my new Cover FX foundation in P40, Kat Von D Contour palette, Makeup Geek Shadows. Ardell Wispies lashes, MAC blush, Ofra Cosmetics Sao Paolo liquid lipstick.

I need to write down what colors I used.  Hell if I can remember now! Here are the close ups.

I do know there is Lemon Drop, Pixie Dust, Fortune Teller and Jester in this. Maybe some Poison Ivy.

Isn't this cool? And the full on look is so very me isn't it?????

At least I was digging it.  Mom says I'm too pale and this wasn't her thing.

I'm ok with that.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

More Work Eye Looks

I have got to come up with some better post titles!  Just woke up from a nap. Not fully alert and aware just yet. You know when you've had a nap and when you first get up you have that sort of fuzzy brain going on?

Yeah that's me right now.

I figured out something a bit different to do with my work eye looks.  You will see that in upcoming posts.  Since my nails have been nekked, I don't have as many of those posts to show you right now.

Did you see that Chaos and Crocodiles has a new collection coming out on Tuesday? Holy Schiz people. Remember when I said I would only buy Enchanted Polish? I guess I had forgotten about C&C.  I wasn't as impressed with her Unicorn collection as her first set the Secret Agent one was so freakin holo strong, I think it's what I was hoping for in her future stuff.

So far I have only seen one sneak peak and it's a gorgeous blue. No swatches yet though.  I have set an alarm and plan to check it out.  I haven't decided yet whether I will buy it or not.  Since it's almost Thanksgiving, I have massive amounts of photos to take for my upcoming blog sale.

Set your alarms for that people!  No I don't know what day it will launch yet.  I will let you know once I know!  I have saved up a bunch of boxes and will need to research the postal rates as they have gone up again.  I don't own a printer so I can't do the online postage thing like most people do.

Oh and did I tell you that yesterday after working all day, still recuperating from my mom visiting that I decided it was a good time to haul out the very heavy ladder from under my house, drag it around the side of my house, up three steps to reclean gutters that I had already paid a guy to clean?

And did I mention this ladder to be an old crickety, dangerous to be on ladder? One that I have to go almost to the top rung to reach the gutters?

Yeah.  That's what I did.

Why I have no idea.  Why then I have no idea.  All I know was I got a wild hair up my a** and did it.

Now let's look at another two eye looks I wore this past week.

This first one was a more neutral shimmery look with another pop of color in my waterline.  This again was all makeup geek eyeshadows and a MAC eyeliner.  I really liked this one.

This one is an orange eye look with blue in the waterline. I don't remember what eye liner may even be the same one as the first look!  These are Ardell Demi wispies for the lashes.

I hope you have enjoyed this post!

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

Two more eye looks

Once again my nails have been nekked for days.  Mom was here this past weekend and wore me out like she always does! We shopped literally all day Saturday, then did online shopping Sunday morning and then planted fifty tulips.

I'm still recovering.

At least I know what I'm getting for Christmas! Three different Philosophy perfumes-yeah that's my brand for all things perfume and body lotion.  We went to Sephora as I wanted to be color matched for the Color FX foundation.  I got that for myself.  The Kat Von D contour palette was an early present that I get to use now. Yeah it's awesome.

I'm not too sure about the new foundation yet.  I prefer a matte finish and this is more dewy.  Plus it was $40 for one ounce where the L'Oreal Infallible I like is $12.  You do the math.  I think I have decided I am going to mix the two and most likely won't buy another Color FX one again.  But I've only worn it twice so far.

The first time I tried using a brush, the second with my beauty blender.  I so prefer the beauty blender but man so many people use a brush for foundation.  Maybe I'm not using enough product with the brush?

Oh and get this.  I ordered two new brushes from Morphe Brushes.  I love their palettes as I have two of them. The palettes are sent carefully wrapped in double bubble wrap and tons of peanuts.  The brushes came in a cheap bubble envelope with no cushioning.  One brush is fine the other came in two pieces.  The brush part had separated from the handle.

That's nice.

I literally was on hold for thirty minutes trying to get a customer service rep on the phone.  I started as caller number 30! Now that makes me think that way too many people have problems with this company.  But maybe that's just me.

Anywho, after all that waiting I finally get a person and get this-I'm told I have to take pictures and email this special address and someone will get back to me via email.  Now the brush is broken I have no problem with the pictures whatever.  But normally a reputable company will just apologize and send out a new brush no questions asked.

Why not Morphe?

Are you really believing that I am trying to steal a goddamn $12 brush from you?   Wow.

It has literally been two days since I sent the email with no reply.  I resent it this morning.  The email was quite pissy and I meant every word I said in it.  I will never ever buy a brush from them again.

I really want to post the broken brush picture on my Instagram and try to shame them but I'm such a small account they wouldn't even notice.  I still may though.

I'll let you know.

Here are two looks I wore this past week.

This first one I simply used a light brown shimmer shadow and added a pop of purple in my waterline.  I love doing that.  I plan of doing some of the far out colorful looks I see on Instagram that can't be worn to work!

This one isn't quite color accurate.  Picture brick red and orange shimmer.  This one I didn't quite get the lashes where they are supposed to be.  I am getting to be a lot better at popping them on with no problem lately.  I put the glue on and then I do my brows while the glue gets tacky about 2 minutes. It's a fat lie that you only need to wait for 30 seconds!

I hope you have enjoyed these eye looks!

Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?

Enchanted Polish November 2015, Garland

I am writing another post today as my mom is coming to visit and we will be busy doing things around the house.  There may be a couple days without a post.  Just letting you know.

Got a text from a coworker last night.  Four in fact.  Then she thought I was ignoring her.

First off WTF?

Second off what happened to maybe I was busy, maybe I was sleeping etc.  Why is it the world now expects you to answer right that second when they decide to text you at that moment.  It pisses me off big time.

Then I read the other texts.  Seems my boss has again screwed another coworker in favor of Annoying.  She was out on medical leave came back set up at her normal place and clinic only to be told that her job has totally changed and she has been assigned to a whole new clinic.

This is at least the second time this has happened and no courtesy phone call the night before giving a heads up.  Damn. Kind of worries me a bit.  I mean really? I can only imagine how I'd feel if that happened to me.  It's one of the clinics that Annoying has taken over.  I honestly don't know any more details.  Maybe the doctor didn't want her back who knows.

What I do know is the shock and surprise would certainly make me start looking for another job. Maybe that's the ultimate objective they have for this person?

Saw the shrink for the first time.  I liked her.  Hopefully she will do me some good.

I also totally didn't take any work eye pictures for you.  Damn I'm a slacker! With my mom here this weekend, I most likely won't get to do a full face of makeup. But never say never right????

All right.  Enchanted Polish.  If you're new here you need to know EP is my all time favorite brand. I will be selling off most of the rest of my collection as I have stated recently in favor of EP.

Today we have two very new and very recent colors.  The first one is November 2015.  A gorgeous deep berry holo.

Indoor Sun

Indoor Sun
This is after a fresh file job.  Nice right?  Next we have Garland from a set of five creams recently sold.  Garland is a dark foresty green with gold shimmer.  For some reason, my Seche did the tip shrink thing.  So annoying. But this color is so me.

Flash

Flash
Not the best pictures, but trust I love this color.  It's not for everyone but that just means more for me!

I have many more new EPs to show you.

Oh and because I know some of you love these stories. I vacuumed today as it had been so long that I had spiders building webs in the bottom floor corners! So yeah, they have now all been evicted.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

Shades of Grey Eye Look Close Ups

So for today we have the Shades of Grey eye look closeups.  I am rather proud of this one but for the lashes. I think I cut too much length off and the thick stiff band just wouldn't mold to my eyes. Honestly, I really just like my cheap drugstore Ardell Wispies.

Anyway before we get to all that it's story time.

The official dictionary definition of a deadline is: the latest time or date by which something should be completed.

Seems like a pretty straight forward definition.  Easy to understand right?

Wrong at my job apparently.

This year they are making the flu shot mandatory.  This I am totally against.  I am not in the military and you should not be able to force me to get an injection.  If you do not get said flu shot by November 30th, you are suspended from your job without pay.  If you don't get it by the end of December, you are fired.

Yeah they ain't playing.

I was going to try and do the medical thing where you can't get the shot due to medical reasons.  Then I looked at the fine print at the bottom of the form.  It states that even if you are found to have such a medical reason not to get the shot, you can be moved to another job within the institution.  WTF? So I had to scrap that route.

I then asked one of the patient lawyers we have on staff.  They stated that obviously the hospital has high dollar lawyers that made sure they were covered in order to force this issue.  It's for the greater good sort of thing.

Screw that noise.

So I get the email from the boss stating that she has been informed that I have not done my flu shot yet.  I replied, I am aware of this.  I will be getting the shot on November 30th. My calendar is marked. To which she replied I would suggest you get it before then unless you plan on going to our Employee Health as if HR does not get the form in time you will not be able to work on December 1.

I left it alone.  What happened to the deadline being November 30th?

Here's why I don't do the flu shot. Not sure if you guys know this.

Every year around March the world doctors gather and decide what strains of flu they THINK will be prevalent in the winter nine months later.  Last year's concoction was only 19% effective as they were dead wrong on the flu strain last year.  I would totally do the flu shot if they knew exactly which strain was going to happen. But with it still being all guesswork? Nope thanks I'd rather not.

So my little protest is to wait til the deadline.

Side note: I'm jamming to Jessie J Burnin' Up.  Damn she has got an amazing voice.

All right let's do this.

As you can see, the lashes are a little lame-but totally my fault and not the lashes themselves!

Here are the products I used for the whole face.

L'Oreal Infallible Foundation in 102 Shell Beige
Urban Decay Fair Neutral Concealer
Laura Mercier powder
MAC Give Me Sun bronzer
MAC blush
IT Cosmetics contour palette
Becca Moonstone highlight
Makeup geek eyeshadows in: Rapunzel, Mercury, Graphite and Galaxy.  The waterline was a mix of about 5 shadows as not one gave me the true POP I wanted.
MAC Neutral zone lip liner
Ofra Sao Paolo liquid lipstick
House of Lashes Iconic, HOL glue
Revlon All in One mascara

I think that's the list.  Let me know if you're ready for a real live tutorial video.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

Shades of Grey Eyes, Selfie

I was shocked at how many of you commented on my selfie picture.  I did not expect that at all.  A couple of you asked to see more.

So today, I've got another selfie look for you.  I think this came out even better.  I'm trying different rooms and lighting in my house to see what works best.  My last selfie, all the books in the background were distracting.

Your comments make me want to keep going practicing and getting closer to making a YouTube video.  I've also decided that for the moment, I will keep my face shaved.  It does feel a lot smoother and my skin care regimen is able to get to my pores that much easier to do their thing.

I have also received two offers to do more reviews.  I have not responded to their emails yet.  I just don't know if that is something I want to do a lot of.  I still do Barielle, but I gave up Sinful Colors. What I will be doing is only buying from Enchanted Polish.  Which to be honest, I haven't bought any other polish but EPs in many months.

So over Thanksgiving, I have five days off.  I will be putting together another huge blog sale selling off a lot of my collection.  So stay tuned for that.

Did you guys see that Rescue Beauty Lounge has shut its doors?

I used to love RBL. However, something changed in their formula for the worse and the price of $20 just wasn't worth it to me anymore.  I will still keep my original colors as I still love them, but the newer ones I have will be sold.

I'm talking RBLs, Liquid Sky Lacquer holos, Devil Wears Polish Holos, Nails Inc, NCLA Nudes, ZOYA Naked manicure, perhaps some CBLs.  I mean I am still holding on to the original five set of flakies from Finger Paints that was all the rage about 3-4 years ago.  Those have to be worth money.

Anywho, if you are interested, stay tuned around Thanksgiving time. I may even sell off some of my Bettina, but I haven't decided on that yet.

Now as I said, today's look I used three different shades of grey.  I kept my face and lips neutral with the eyes being the pop and focus.

I also finally used my House of Lashes Iconics, but I think I cut them too short and the band is so stiff and rigid that I had a very hard time keeping them on.  Honestly, I prefer the cheap throwaway ones.

Perhaps my old wrinkly eye lids can't handle the thick lash bands.

I will say however, I dig this last picture as you can see the cool gradient effect of the three greys used in this look.  Also, please note no fuzzy hairy face!  HAHAHA!

Now just like last selfie post, I will post the close ups and all products used in the next post.

PS-If you're wondering, the cross was my dad's. I've been wearing it since he passed. I never take it off.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

A Neutral Eye and a Colorful Eye

I've decided that I'm going to show you pictures of my eye looks that I've worn to work.  Why let those go to waste when I could snap a picture and show you!

The other day I had this stunning purple fest going on and I wish I had taken a picture.  One of my older patients commented on how much she liked my purple eyes.

Nothing exciting going on at work.  Same sh*t different day.

We still sit around and wonder what Annoying does with herself all day long.  She ain't in the office and she ain't in the clinic so we really don't know what it is she's doing.  I just can't stand to listen to her voice.  It's just one of those voices that make you cringe.

Remember how I told you she wouldn't let me vacuum under her desk? So far this has happened twice.  So one day I was the only one in the office and I had stupidly spilled noodle salad on the floor so after I picked it out of the rug, I got out the vacuum and went to town.  While Annoying was out, I did under her desk.  I don't think I put her chair back just right and she may have wondered why her chair was askew, but I never told her anything.

Yes so freakin childish and stupid but you got to get your kicks somehow right?

These are the looks I wore Thursday and Friday of last week.

I am loving that top one.  It's so colorful! I just kept adding different colors and a pop of blue in the waterline.

The second one I was in the mood for neutral but this time I did a pop of orange in my waterline.  It's just eyeshadow.  You don't have to have fancy eye liner pencils to do these pops of color.

How cool are these?  I plan on taking pictures of each day's look unless it's just a hot mess and not worth showing to you.

Would you like that?

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

Enchanted Polish Ectoplasm, Fright Night

Before we get to it, I just want to warn you these pictures are not of my usual quality.  We all know how pastels and neons are a beeyotch to polish with and clean up.  So yeah, just saying.

I haven't a damn thing to talk about this morning and I have four posts to write.  Don't you hate when that happens?

Let's see.  I went to the dentist and she really only had to pick tartar off of one back tooth.  You see since I hate the dentist so much, I brush the hell out of my teeth. Literally for about six minutes at a time.  I also went ahead and bought the dentist strength whitening strips.

Apparently, they are twice as strong as the strongest strips over the counter that I had just finished using.  They stain your fingers white if you aren't careful putting them on.  What I have found though, is they are not as sturdy as the store ones and they don't stick as well to my bottom teeth. My top teeth no problem, but my bottom I have to keep readjusting.

Per the instructions, you are supposed to wear these twice a day for 30 minutes for a total of three weeks.  Well I ain't doing that.  I'm too damn lazy and I have sensitive teeth in spots so I don't want to exacerbate that. Although so far, they haven't bothered me at all.  I was given a whitening chart so you can chart your progress. I am at about the two stage in color trying to get to the one stage.

It's a goal and something for me to focus on.

I'm still very much grieving.  I'm looking forward to finally seeing the shrink this week.  I hope that it is a helpful situation.

Yesterday it was 80F and today it's like 50F.  I'm freezing in my own house! HAHAH!  Yes I had to finally put the heat on as my cats have icicles hanging from their whiskers.

All right.  Let's get this over with!

Here is Enchanted Polish Ectoplasm.  A neon green pastel cream.

I will definitely need to wear this again to give it justice.

My next thought was to do a glitter gradient.  I grabbed EP Fright Night as I thought it was a glitter bomb.

Nope it wasn't.  Here is what happened.

So yeah, I will need to wear this one again as I couldn't even get my camera to focus on the holo glitters in this! I had no idea it had a black cream base.

It really would be a gorgeous polish had I given it more attention.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

My Gradient Fall eye closeup with product list

Ok people.  This is my fourth post written in a row.

I'm getting weird.

I have a dental appointment on Wednesday.  By the time you read this, it will already have happened. I hate the dentist.  Which I have told you all before.  This time though, I've just completed a three week Crest white strips treatment on my teeth.  Yes they are whiter, but they are the blinding Chicklet teeth you see on the YouTubers.

I so want Chicklet teeth!

But I may be too old and have done too many things to my teeth that this is the whitest they can get. Am told however, that you can get stronger strips from the dentist.  I can't afford the serious whitening treatments the YouTubers get which is like $500 a session and they make these trays that fit your teeth and you sit there with stuff in the trays on your teeth etc.

Yeah not happening any time soon.  The strips weren't bad.  But three weeks was a long time.

Another tangent coming.  So I get this comment on my blog the other day.  Saying things like how dare you gossip on the internet, that I'm childish and that I'm a bully, that I should respect others and get off my high horse and act like a civilized person.

WTF??

My first reply to this person was "because it's my blog and I can do what I want.  Please take your crap elsewhere."

But then I really got mad.

My next reply was "PS how dare you come to my blog read one post out of 800 and get on your high horse and claim to know a damn thing about me? My blog has been here for 4.5 years yet you read one post and think you know it all. To me and the rest of the world, you are the problem."

This is verbatim.  I left it on the post-I won't tell you guys which one. This sh*t pisses me off.  This is why the world is going to sh*t. People like that sitting behind their computer thinking they are righteous as f*ck telling me how I ought to be.  What I will tell you honey if you happen to read this is that I know where you live as I have friends who are computer whizzes and with just the email address you left, I know where you are.

Just saying.

Isn't that a scary thought though? You leave a comment on someone's blog be it mean or nice and from just that email address you leave, there are people who can trace your IP address and get your address.

Think about that people!

Today's post I will be showing you close ups of my eye look from what I'm calling my Fall eye.  Yes I did a similar one before, but this one is better and more metallic and shiny.  I quite like it a lot.

Here it is.

I didn't do eyes totally closed like I have before simply because you could see the lash band and the huge gap I didn't get glued to my lid! HAHAH!  You can see the gradient from yellow to orange to a rusty reddish brown. Literally eight eye shadows went into this look.

Here is the list of all the products I used on my full makeup face.  Be prepared it's a long one.

Another Fall look with a selfie

It's taken me over four years to even think about putting my face out there in space.  Yes I have my picture here on my blog, but not many people read my stuff and it's a side profile. I just got a text from a friend of mine who says I look angry in the photo I was going to share.  So now I'm wondering if I should even post it here.

However, he's a guy who doesn't get makeup and wouldn't appreciate that I spent two hours and I believe eight different eye shadows went into this Fall gradient eye look.  I will go into the close ups next post.  I may have to rethink this whole selfie thing and just stick to the eye close ups.

At least I have pretty eyes.  I can't mess that up too much.

But what do I do when I take over 150 pictures literally and not have a damn one be all that great. My mom will be the first to say I don't photograph well.  Plus I don't do any photoshopping or anything like that.  It's just me. With a sh*t ton of makeup on.

Thought I'd show you the detritus that was the aftermath of my two hour session.

Yeah so I just throw things around when I'm in the zone.  I did get some new makeup geek eye shadows that I used for this look.

Here is a look at them.

These are all the new ones I've just got in the mail. Below in the bottom left corner are foiled eyeshadows.  Like hard core metallics.  I used the three yellow/oranges ones.  This is NOT color accurate.  My eye pics next post you will see.

These three are duochrome.  I haven't played with these yet.

So here is the big reveal.

My serious model face.

Sorry should have warned you my face would get bigger and scarier! HAHAHA! And yes I've always had a hairy face,  It doesn't bother me.  It's just there.

**EDIT** After posting this on Instagram and getting almost zero likes and one nasty comment asking why I have a hairy (spelled harry-idiot) face I admit I succumbed to peer pressure and shaved my damn face.  I had had it done once when I was doing those facials I told you about.  Although they used a straight razor and called it dermabrasion.

It was freakin weird using my huge leg razor-I use the Intuition brand as I'm a huge failure with a regular razor and shave gel.  So imagine shaving your face with that huge thing! HAHAH! At least I only got one area of irritation on my chin.

My face is smooth as a baby's butt and my makeup does go on better, my skincare gets to my skin better but I don't know if it's something I will keep up with.  The hair never really bothered me before and I hate that I let some twerp who can't spell and who's probably 13 make me shave my face.  Oh and yes I deleted said comment.

However, if I continue to do selfies-which I may just go back to eye looks-the hair IS an issue in macro mode!

I will list all the products and steps in the next post with the close up eye looks.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

Chaos and Crocodiles Security Breach, The Devil Wears Polish Inky

Before we get started-have I mentioned my nails have literally been naked for a whole week? Yes people. A whole week.  That's why I've had nothing to post to show you! Am trying to get back on the wagon!

I spent literally two hours doing a full face of makeup yesterday.  You will see some of it the next two posts. Yup I'm about to reveal another selfie.  Not that I take a good picture or anything.  It kills me that I take 150 photos and can't come up with a decent one.  I don't know how the Instagrammers do theirs.  And when you ask them, no one's talking.  Seems it's a big secret and no one wants to help you out.

I know I'm not a makeup artist just like I know I'm not a photographer.  I've tried portrait, macro, non flash, flash etc with my camera and still am clueless.  I need a remote control as I can't get more than arm's length away from the camera as I need to hit the button!  Perhaps I will look into that.

Oh I think I've also figured out yet another tip for putting on false lashes.  Make sure they fit well before trying to put them on.  I know this from watching YouTube vids but never felt I needed to cut mine.  I thought my eyes were fine and didn't want to cut my lashes.

Well people, let me just say I was wrong! Especially with the Ardell Wispies that I love.  I notice that since I didn't cut some off, that the lash actually creates the illusion that the outside edge of my eye is being dragged down by too much lash.

Does that make sense?

Like it's weighing down my eye and creating a weird look.  Plus when the lash is actually the right size it goes on much easier and you don't have that section bugging your inner eye and the outer eye drag down.  I'm still in the midst of figuring out the right size for me.  I think I took too much off on one side.  Oh and I finally tried to put on my "expensive" ones from House of Lashes called Iconic that all the Instagrammers love and they are so freakin full and long that I was like no way can I wear these to work.

But then again, I didn't trim them like I know now is a good thing.

I will revisit that later.

After my two hour face, I had a butt ton of dirty makeup brushes so I was a good girl and washed all my brushes from this session and the week before.  I need to buy some Ivory soap.  The soap I've been using is too sudsy and clingy and even after I've rinsed, there is still soap deep in the bristles.

Plus I've no idea how you're not going to get the handle wet when washing your brushes.  How is that even possible? If anyone out there knows-clue me in please!!!!

OK.  Here is CC Security Breach.

Now this is the kind of in your face strong holo that I just love.  This is what I live for in nail polish!!!!

Here is The Devil Wears Polish Inky.  I'm told she closed up shop-

Flash

This is a deep dark blackened blue.  Goes on sheer in the first layer, but the second layer does this. Isn't it pretty?

Stay tuned for my face next post!

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

Too Fancy Lacquer Call Me Queen Bee, Enchanted Polish August 2014

Have been indulging in my Halloween ritual.  Watching non stop horror movies.  I love horror movies.  I've watched Halloween 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and the Resurrection one.  The third one is stupid. Those addicted like me will agree that the stupid pumpkin masks to blow up all the children on Halloween is NOT a Michael Myers movie and should be banned.

I always like to see the interesting way people get killed in these horror movies.  The two best ones I think are Halloween 2 when he drains the nurse's blood out thru a reverse IV and the other was from this foreign (I think Thai) movie where a plate of glass fell from the sky slicing dude in half from head to toe.  The two halves fell to the side.  It was awesome.

Yes I have told you my mind is a strange place.  If any of you know that movie title PLEASE let me know. I'd love to see it again!

I also just watched The Last House on the Left.  A classic as well.  I've always wanted my ring tone to be the Halloween theme and I finally paid the damn $1.29 to own the ringtone.  So now I can flip between Halloween and my normal Monty Python "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life."

This past Friday my county made the news in more than one way.  I'm thinking my county was feeling left out in it's ruralness and felt like making a splash on the scene.  First some dude was shot while driving, crashed his car about six miles from my house on the highway I use to get to work.  I don't watch the news in the morning, I read the newspaper.

Yeah, I'm one of those.

So I have no idea what's going on in traffic.  I do what I normally do and get on the highway only to see it's a damn parking lot.  I'm thinking now what.  I also was thinking it would be nice if my neighbor would have texted me as she left before me to warn me.  You know those areas on highways meant only for the Man to hang out that cuts between the north and south lanes?

Can you guess where I'm going here?

Yup, I took the illegal emergency only lane and cut between and turned around. I then got on the rural road which you can safely only go about 64 mph instead of the 80mph on the highway.  So of course I was late. Then on the way home from work, I noticed the rural route was backed up for miles with all the highway traffic. Seems they shut down the highway for two hours for accident reconstruction.  The highway had an eight mile backup.

Eight miles!!!!

So they made all that traffic get off on a two lane road. Not pretty. I was just glad I was going the opposite direction.  I get home and my texts start dinging.  It seems the local school bus had tipped over in an accident about five miles from my house.  It was on the front page of the paper.

My little county made the news twice in one day.  Such a proud mama.

HEHEHEHEHE.

Anywho, let's look at two fabulous polish for today.
