So those that have been around since the beginning, do you remember my mom stating that she didn't get why I needed so many different polish because she felt clear was the only color to wear? That she is the one who recently got me hooked on NexGen nails? Well get this! She had her nails done yesterday and she calls me up telling me how proud I'm going to be of her. She did light pink sparkly nails with red funky french tips, and an accent nail with green funky tips! I wish I had a picture to show you! I wish I had a picture to show me!
I cannot believe this! She then tells me about all the other people getting their Christmas nails done and talking about all the different designs others were doing. I think maybe she is becoming a bit enamored of the polish world! No way will she ever buy polish and do her own, but I think it's freakin cool that she is doing these funky nails!
Oh and I'm thinking of trying out one of those meal delivery services. The ones that send you all the ingredients you need to make three meals for two people a week. Each meal you cook in about 30 minutes and all you have to have is the pans and salt and pepper. They send you all the rest. I'm looking at Blue Apron and Hello Fresh. So far, I am leaning toward Blue Apron as their recipes appeal to me more. Right now, I don't do any cooking anymore, although I used to love to cook and fancied myself a damn good one. Thought about maybe being a chef back in the day.
Nowadays living alone, I just snack. I don't eat real meals at all. It's a slice of cheese, or a handful of popcorn kind of thing. I watch the Food Network all the time and really want to try this system out. I have to decide whether I can afford the $60/week, although I'd prefer to do every other week. As these shipments are for two people three meals, which is six meals and I eat smaller portions, I'd definitely have lunches for work etc.
Since technically I'm supposed to be at my brother's house for New Year's, I have time to decide. The first delivery right now is for the Eve. So there's no point in signing up today as I won't be home for the first delivery! But man do the recipes for that week look delicious!
Have any of you out there tried this type of delivery service? Do you love it?
I just think I really want to try and eat better and know I won't do it any other way.
