Purple Holofest

I'm sitting here listening to Lorde.  She is only sixteen and has just won a Grammy. I've told you how serious I take music and she has such an awesome voice!  The crazy thing that people are talking about is her nails for the Grammys.  It's like she dunked her fingertips in black paint.  She's Goth and maybe that's the new thing.  I used to be hard core Goth and we used to use sharpies to 'paint' our nails black before it was hip to use black polish.  I guess because it was Chanel, they make anything hip.

Here is a pic of her and her nails.

I got this picture from here. That site says she's using Japanese henna and has been doing it for years, but also has a black mani to go with it. Not sure if I'd ever do this, but what the hell, it's the Grammy's and crazy sh*t rules there right?  Make sure you listen to her voice.  Amazing.

So today's mani is a purple holo fest as the title states.  Oh and I did tinker with my profile picture again. It's now squoval and a tad bigger.  I'm happier with it like this. Let me know what you think!

Here is your silly bottle shot.

Damn that's a lot of polish!  This is Liquid Sky Lacquer Sugared Berries, Bri's Hella Holo, Walk On The Wild Side, Black Opal and Twilight Plummage.  On the bottom is Misa Icy River.

I started with skittles of Sugared, Twilight and Opal.

Such pretty colors eh?  Next I dotted, stamped with MoYou Artist 11 plate and did a tape mani. It was a true mishmash of techniques.  Here are the results.

I stamped using the Misa polish, made a sort of arrow with the tape mani on the ring finger and just did random dots on the others.  I kind of dig how they're all different yet it kind of goes together you know?

Here is the plate I used.

The part I used is where her chest is.

Would you wear your nails like Lorde?  Have you listened to her music yet?

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
