Mani Overload

Today's mani took a long time.  I see what others are doing on Instagram and wonder why I don't come up with good ideas like theirs?  I also wonder why I don't have bazillions of followers like others do.  I know a lot of it is having pretty nails to start with.  This I have never had and never will have, no matter what.  So that's a strike against me right there.  Second, I really don't have a camera that even compares to the serious photography camera people use for their manis.  I'm thinking of saving up to get one, but not sure it'll really make a huge difference in my numbers.  Again, no pretty nails here so I'm at a disadvantage from the get go!

One person I follow actually has a professional photographer take her photos for her.  I mean who can compete with that????  I have noticed that my iPhone5S takes pretty good pictures.  In reality, I've resigned myself to my mediocrity.  Most of the time, I'm OK with it.  I'm just having one of those days today.

OOOOH-I just had another tangent of a thought!  When you do your laundry, are you obsessed with how they smell when they're done being washed?  You bet I am. I use Tide, Downey and  Bounce when I do my laundry.  When I was home for vacation, I used my sister-in-law's machine and her items.  Imagine my surprise, when I put on my clean clothes and they smelled so fresh and awesome I couldn't stop smelling my clothes.  When I asked her what made them smell so good, she replied, Snuggle Blue Sparkle.  Now my whole life, I've used either Tide or Era, Downey and Bounce.  It's what my mom used so it's all I knew. You better believe when I got home, I went to the grocery store and bought me some Blue Sparkle Snuggle.  I won't even tell you how much I hate their commercials with that stupid whiney sounding teddy bear sniffing his blankey.  That's why I've never thought to try it.  The commercials drive me nuts.

I'm doing my laundry now, and I can't wait to pull my sweatshirt out of the dryer to put on.  The bottle says the smell should last two weeks.  Well, I'm going to put that to the test.  I'm washing my sheets and we shall see if the smell is there two weeks from now when I change my sheets again.

It's a Snuggle off!

Now, back to the topic at hand.  Here's your silly bottle shot.

This is Enchanted Polish August 2013 and Zoya Sailor.  Yup, it's a blue day for sure!

I started with August and an accent of Sailor.  This blue holo is rainbowlicious for sure!

Even in the Ott Lite, there are rainbows galore!  So in love with this-you have no idea!!

Next I returned to my old standby and stamped with the opposite color using Plate A.  I can't remember where I got these, but they aren't any brand I know of.

I've realized that I haven't done any stamping lately and I really miss it.  It's something I'm really good at and need to get back to.

Next I added three studs down the middle and five glequins in a row on either side. Yup that's thirteen things PER nail I did.  Here are the blingalicious results.  This was so sparkly, I did a video and posted it on Instagram.

Yes this took forever to do.  I spent a long time doing these.  They did come out really cool, only bummer is, it took away most of the rainbow goodness of this holo.  You can see peeks of it in these pictures, but in real life, not so much.

Are you obsessed with how your laundry smells?

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
