It's a Dupe Off!!

Back when I first started my blog, I used to do a ton of Dupe Days where I compared similar colors.  They are still some of my most popular posts.  Alas, since I have sold off most of my dupes, I don't do those anymore.

Until today.........

Now you all know that I am not a glitter fan.  Not at all.  But there is an exception to my glitter hate rule. Black and White glitter.  If you've paid attention, you will know I have a thing for black and white combos. It's the basis of my blog background.  I just love it.

I have been slowly collecting black and white glitters and finally the sun cooperated so I could do this comparison post.

I'm excited aren't you?

Let's start with the brands we will be discussing.

This is Lynnderella Connect the Dots, Elevation Polish Haba Xueshan, Enchanted Polish Seven Nation Army, KB Shimmer Grayscale and Pretty & Polished Valentino. I decided to do this on a yellow base-so in the background is Lime Crime Crema de Limon.

I thought we'd discuss each one separately then show them all together.  Sound good?

We will start with Lynnderella Connect the Dots.

This is the original black and white.  The one that got the craze going.  It is comprised of different sizes, shapes, including bar glitter.  For the most part, it is smaller glitters.  It is in a clear base with holo shimmer running through it.

Here it is used in a past mani.

Next up is Elevation Polish Haba Xueshan.

As you can see, this one has very little bar glitter, but has different shapes and sizes.  What puts this one apart is the pieces of light blue glitter running through it.

Here it is in a past mani.

Next is Enchanted Polish Seven Nation Army.

This is heavy microscopic circle glitters with clear base and holo shimmer.  Just circles and very very small ones.

I haven't shown you the mani I did with this one yet.  Stay tuned!

Next up is KB Shimmer Grayscale.

This one has big chunky pieces all different shapes and sizes, but the cool thing with this one is the pieces of gray throughout.

Here is the mani I did with this one.

Swoooooon.

Last we have Pretty & Polished Valentino.

This one has much more small glitters in it than the previous one, plus it has the bigger shapes as well.

Here is a mani I've done with this one.

Now let's look at them side by side.

Here you can clearly see the differences between all of these.  I am in love!

But if I had to pick my favorite of these five?

It would be KB Shimmer Grayscale.  I don't know why, I just love those tiny gray pieces.  Next I would say it's a tie between Connect the Dots and Haba Xueshan.  I love bar glitter and I love the bits of blue in the Haba.  I'm not used to micro glitter like in the hit Floam, so I need to play with Seven Nation Army some more.  My least favorite would be the Valentino, seems like the bigger pieces are left in the bottle.

So there you have it.  A black and white glitter Dupe Off.

Which one is your favorite?

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
