My Not 4th

I have the feeling I should have scrapped this mani but I'm still not caught up on my scheduled posts yet.  The one saving grace?  The colors are cool together.

I also need the world's help.  I'm thinking that the design I used, may not have been etched correctly and I need my fellow stampers out there to test theirs for me, if you'd be so kind.

Now I don't want to sound all anti patriotic-because I do love America, but I like to be a rebel in any way I can.  It's just how I like to live my life.  Today's small rebellion will be my Not 4th of July mani.

I knew I was going to see a whole bunch of red, white and blue manis out there and I was not disappointed. I had just gotten in my new set of Bundle Monster Holiday plates and I really did set out to at least stamp with 4th stuff even if I didn't choose to wear the normal red, white and blue.  But when I looked at them, I was kind of meh and decided I'd just go a whole different route.

It all went downhill from there.............

Here is your silly bottle shot.

This is Elevation Polish Gobi, Contrary Polish Better Together and Elevation Polish Mutzagh Ata.  Yes another brown holo has come into my life.

I started with Gobi and an accent of Ata.  The first problem with this mani?  When I went outside to take the pictures, it was so humid that the camera lens fogged up and I didn't realize it was happening.  So I don't have the best photos for this starting off the bat.

These are not strong holos but I like that about them.  The subtle rainbows just add to the gorgeous two colors here.  I love how they go together.

Next I tried stamping with the opposite color, like I always do.  Well, it just wasn't happening.  I tried multiple different polish and I was getting very frustrated.  I finally just said f*ck it and settled on Better Together to stamp with because nothing was working.  I'm thinking this plate is the problem.  I used Bundle Monster H15 plate which is the Chinese New Year plate.  You cannot see it at all.  Issue number two!

This is so subtle, even I can't see it and you know how I like to do my me manis!  I finished off this disaster with my funky.  Here are the results.

All that time and work stamping for nothing!  I do think these colors are gorgeous together and I love that but I just wish you could see what the design was supposed to look like.  What I did was take a picture of the plate so you could see what I was trying to achieve.

Again to my stamper friends out there, if you have gotten this set, will you please test this plate design and see if it works for you?  I never have this much trouble stamping.  Ever.  Let me know what you find out!

So this was a disaster on many levels, but in the end, it still vanquished my need for rebellion.

Did you do 4th of July nails?

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
