Mo You or Mo Me?

Now how's that for a title eh?  I spend hours and days coming up with these jewels. Actually, they just come to me.  I have a gift.

Before we get into what the title means, I want to share with you a message I got from a guy on the dating site.  It went and I quote, "love the ta tas, lol." Really? This is what guys think is a good pick up line nowadays?  Where are they getting this incorrect information?  Wherever it is, it sure needs to be corrected. I thought about writing back and telling him off, but then I thought maybe that's what he's after.  Maybe that's his MO.  To rile me up get me to respond and he's in.  I decided to just leave him for someone else.

I was recently contacted by a UK company, MoYou to review their stamping plates. Now you all know, I don't normally do many reviews, but since I am the self proclaimed stamping queen, I thought I'd make an exception.  I was also contacted to add advertising for money on my blog by a different company.  As you already know, I have no ads on here as of yet.  I don't know if that is something I want to get into.  It would be different if I were a more popular blog, but I'm not sure about it.  Those that do, what kind of money do you make?  Is it worth it?

Back to the review.  I was asked to pick out two plates to try and I was also sent their black special stamping polish.  It just so happens I had gotten in my May colors from Square Hue.  Remind me to cancel that subscription after you see what the colors are ok?

Here is your silly bottle shot.

Now you see what I'm talking about.  WTF?!?  It's a freakin pink fest!  This is Square Hue Happy Creme, Day Glow and Mother's Pearl with the MoYou special black on top.

I figured what better to stamp black on than hot pink right?  Trust me, these colors are going right to my blog sale.  I will never wear them again.

I started with Pearl, which is a frosty pearlized hot pink with an accent of Day Glow, which is a neon pink.  Here are the starting shots.

OMG!! What awfulness on my nails!  I'm talking brush strokes, blinding pink and I just am so glad I didn't have to wear this for long.  There are some nice happy pinks I have learned to tolerate, but not these colors.

Next I used the MoYou special black polish and their plate N09, which is a bunch of Asian symbols.  I don't know if they are Japanese or Chinese.  I must confess I have a thing for these kinds of symbols.  I just can't imagine learning how to write these with a paint brush, like they did in the old days.  I would love to learn how to read and write them, but am way too lazy.

**EDIT** Just got a comment from Susan at The Subtle Shimmer and she is telling me that these are Chinese symbols and that my ring finger character is upside down!  Now of course, being fluent only in English, I had no idea.  I just thought, "what pretty designs."  DUH!  Susan says the meaning from index to pinkie is: Home, Beauty, Love and Prosperity.  Maybe that's why I can't get anywhere with the online dating-because my Love symbol is upside down!!!

Thank you Susan!

I used MoYou's plastic scraper as well and I have to say, I'm a convert.  I normally use an old credit card, but some have those punch cards things on the sides that leave a streak when you are scraping. This plastic scraper is a dream to use.  I will never use another.

I did a different design on each finger.  Here is that step.

This MoYou special black polish is awesome for stamping.  It is not quite as bad at clean up as Konad black, but it's still pretty painful to clean up.  It does do some crisp stamping though.  I love it!

I ended this with my funky using the black polish.  Here are the results.

The sun shots I took two days later, hence the slight tip wear.  Overall, I am very happy with this plate, the stamping polish and especially the scraper.  I would recommend you give MoYou a try.

As far as the pink goes, YUCK!  Hence my title, Mo You or Mo Me?  Now do you get it? This pink is definitely not Mo Me!!!!

I leave you with pictures of my favorite flower in the whole wide world, all the way from my gramma's garden in New York.  Lily of the Valley!  They are in full bloom now, and it lasts a very short time.  The rest of the time, it's just green leaves and boring!

The first picture is of the flowers I picked to enjoy inside, the second is of the mass of flowers in the garden.  Aren't they gorgeous???

If you haven't already checked out MoYou, make sure you do!  I have one other plate to show you as well.

Is this mani Mo You or not?  Does this pink call your name? How much do you make in ads on your blog?

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
