Art Brush Mess

There is a reason why I do so much stamping.  After today, I will prove once again, why I should just stick to what I know.  Since I just got in the new set of Cheeky jumbo plates, I have many new designs to play with.

Remember how I always complain about the squirrels taking over my feeder and eating all the seed?  Well imagine my surprise when I was looking out my bedroom window and saw a squirrel building a nest.  I had no idea that they built nests.  I never really gave it a thought.  That squirrel would chew off branches from my tree and carry it to the crook where it was building the nest.  I actually had to Google it because I wanted to see what the inside looks like, but couldn't find a picture.

Here is a faraway shot so you know what you're looking for.

Do you see the darker clump of leaves almost dead center of this picture? Here is a closer up picture.

I'm sorry, but I have to say my camera does take gorgeous pictures when it wants to! Here is the clump of leaves and branches that are the squirrel nest.  This was taken when it was fresh, today the leaves are dead and crumpled up.  I need to take a picture from the base of the tree looking up.

I just thought this was so cool.  But on the other hand, it just means the squirrels have moved in and my feeder is about 5 feet from this tree!

On to the mess that is my art brush failure.  Here is your silly bottle shot.

This is Chick Raven's Egg, Rescue Beauty Lounge Become One and Pause, Square Hue Yellow Submarine and Julep Mackenzie.

I started with Mackenzie.  WARNING!!! This Julep stains your nails like nothing else!!!  I wore a base coat and everything.  Now my nails are martian green and sickly looking. This is why it is now on my blog sale!

Here are your starting shots.

I do love the shimmer in this though.  Next I tried to do flowers with an art brush and failed miserably, so then I tried to do dots to compensate and fix it, but it just stayed a failure.  Here it is in all it's glory.

Oh the horror!  I have decided that I am just not cut out for nail art brushes.  I have now tried a few times and it's just not for me.  I am going back to stamping and dotting.  I'm good at that!

We will just call this abstract ok?

Oh and I just realized that May 4 was my two year blogversary!  I cannot believe it has been two years already!  Thank you to all my peeps for loving what I'm doing enough to keep me going!

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
