Worth Every Penny...

Oh people, I have an announcement to make. I have found my new favorite red of all time.  This is a huge moment for me, since I have been searching for the perfect red for almost two years now.

Now you all know when you're trying to be on a no buy and you pass on a polish and then you find out it was limited edition and can no longer be bought?  Panic sets in and your new goal in life is to find that polish and not have to take out another mortgage on your house for it.

It seemed that I just kept seeing swatches and posts of this beauty and my heartache just got worse.  I delved into the seedy world of EvilBay.  I watched, I bid, I saw exorbitant prices that there was no way in a million years I would pay for a bottle of polish no matter what the color.  Finally, I thought I was going to win a bid.  I admit, I was watching the seconds tic down while I was driving.  Sorry mom.  I was the clear highest bidder. Ten seconds, nine, eight, seven, I was going to win!!  Then all of a sudden, someone outbid me.  I ran out of time and couldn't get a last bid in.  Dammit!  Oh the devastation I felt at that moment.  Over nail polish people!

I got home, saddened, but wiser on the evils of EvilBay.  You see, it was a private bidder that beat me out.  Remember all that scandal about Lynnderella and the private bidders raising up the prices?  It felt like that to me.  Even more so when I got an email stating that this mysterious private bidder had backed out and I was given a second chance to buy my lemming.  WTF?  Now I am no expert on these things, but isn't there a problem when you win a bid and then back out?  Aren't there rules against this?  I would have thought so.

No matter-I was given a second chance.  Did I take it?  You bet I did and it was worth every penny.

Here is the silly bottle shot.

Behold Chanel Malice and Orly Liquid Vinyl.

I started with a full mani of Malice.  It needed nothing else.  This red is so stunning there are no words.  It glows from the inside in the sun.  It shimmers and sparkles like no other.  It is my perfect vampy red.  It may be thought to be similar to Illamasqua Scarab, which I own, but Scarab has more brown in it.  This Malice is pure red.  Are you ready to see?

Shall we take a moment of silence to just bask in this perfect red?

Now just like when I did my favorite blue Cosmos, I didn't want to take away from this. All I did was add my funky using Orly.  Here are the results.

Swooooooooon.  See how it seems to glow from within?  I may need a back up of this!! This is my most perfect favorite red of all time.

So far, I have my favorite blue-Cosmos, green-Blue Gums on Boxing Day, and now this red-Malice.

I hope you enjoyed my trip through EvilBay.  Just goes to show that good does triumph over bad.  HEHEHEHEHE!

What polish has had you jump through hoops to have?

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
