My Pre VD mani

My faithful will remember from last year that I hate Valentine's Day.  In my entire life, I have never had a good Valentine's Day.  I've even been dumped on said day.  That was fun let me tell you!  Unless you count back in 5th grade or so, I got an anonymous card from the boy I was swooning over at the time.  I recognized his handwriting.  I never asked him about it later in life, nor did I ever get to date him.  But that one card in which he said I was pretty has stayed with me all these years.

Personally, I think Valentine's Day is a Hallmark holiday that makes single people feel bad about themselves and puts way too much pressure on men to get the perfect gift. I would much rather get a random act of kindness from my man (if I had one) then something society says he has to do.

You will also remember my last discussion about how I pick what polish to wear next. Well the only reason these colors are appearing now, is not because they were my favorites of the new bunch, but simply because I had just done a purple, green and a blue.

Enter the silly bottle shot for today.

Yes I know, I have told you many times that Deborah Lippmann is not my favorite brand, but when I saw the HBO show GIRLS set-I had to have it.  I love that show!

This is Bettina Preppy, DL Jessa and Lime Crime Parfait Day.

I started with Jessa, which is a gorgeous brick red creme and an accent of Preppy. Here is that step.

I am in love with this red!  The formula is still as thin and runny as I remember, but to have this red, I'll sacrifice!  I next stamped with Parfait Day, since Preppy didn't show up as well.  I used Cheeky plate CH15 and two different designs from the same plate. Here is that step.

It was kind of a pain to stamp this delicate heart pattern.  Kept getting strings of design floating where they shouldn't-but it is oh so cool!  I next added a layer of Northern Lights holo topcoat and my funky.  Here are the results.

Check it out-only a smidgen of smearage.  WOOHOO!  I actually tweeted this to Deborah Lippman and she wrote me back AND followed me on Twitter.   How cool is that?  I was pretty excited about that!

Here is my pre Valentine's Day mani just for you my awesome readers and commenters out there! You make this blog worthwhile for me!

Enough mush for today!

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?
