Black and White

If you haven't noticed by my blog's design, I just love black and white together.  I just find it so sleek and cool.  I told you after my Christmas sweater post, that I would do several in different colors.  Here is the black and white version.  Trust me, that I find this so freakin awesome, that I will be doing this again as a full mani.

Let's start with the silly bottle shot.

This is Rescue Beauty Lounge Iconoclast, Konad white and black stamping polish, Orly Au Champagne and Sally Hansen Whirlwind White.  In the top right corner is Checkers walking though my shot.

I started with alternating black and white nails.  The Iconoclast has a hidden shimmer, so I wanted the white to as well.  The white is a layer of Sally Hansen followed by Orly AU Champagne.  I didn't want to do flat black and white.  Here is that step.

Pretty cool so far!  I next stamped with Konad polish and Nailz Craze plate NC03. Here is that step.

Now you know I normally just use regular polish to stamp with.  For this design, I wanted true black ink.  If I had used Iconoclast to stamp, it would have been lighter black even grey.  If you look carefully, you will see the two white stamps are different.  The middle finger I used Sally Hansen and the pinky I used Konad special polish.  See the difference in the clarity and depth?  My one complaint is that black polish is a PITA to remove. It truly stains everything!

I finished with my funky and let me tell you, the nails with the white base are my favorite and I will be doing a full mani with that combo very soon.  Here are the results.

Is this better than my other color combo Christmas sweater?  I entered the red based one for the contest, maybe this is better?  I have one more to show you next post and you can tell me which of the three I should enter in the contest.

What is your favorite color combination?

Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?
