A Wild Rooster-Revamped

I am continuing on with my love of Rescue Beauty Lounge.  So many colors I have yet to try-it's a damn shame.  That's what that is.

I put in a few hours at work the day after Thanksgiving.  I'm so not one to do the whole Black Friday crack of dawn shopping crap.  I needed to do some hours so I'd have enough to go home for Christmas and then share my niece's mani creations!  I can't wait!!

I get to my desk and what do I find?  Work from my coworker, asking me to do her work for her.  WTF?? Oh hell no.  It'd take too long to explain the intricacies  but let's just say each cancer has a nurse at my job.  I'm the coordinator for lung, head and neck, prostate, kidney, bladder, penile and testicular cancers.  She does breast cancer.  I know nothing about breast cancer.  Each cancer has their own therapies and unless you do that cancer, you are clueless.  Here's the other thing-I do all those cancers on a part time work schedule.  28 hours a week and I feel I do 40 hours of work in that amount of time.  There are THREE breast cancer nurses who work full time, and she wants me to do her work?  First off, I know nothing about boobs, other than I have them and hell no I am not doing her work for her.

Please don't think that I am not a team player. Again, there are office politics involved and it'd take pages to explain it all.  But the work she wanted me to do wasn't due until Tuesday afternoon.  This was a Friday.  So she and her two coworkers have all day Monday and half of Tuesday to do this work she's shoving off on me.  Now do you see?  I put a big old note on there and said I didn't have time to do this work-sorry.  As I write this, tomorrow is Monday and she better not try and start something with me.

Ok enough of that.  I'm sure all of you who work can relate to similar stories at your job. Isn't there always someone trying to put work off cause they're just plain lazy?

Here's your silly bottle shot for today.

Yeah I know, getting pretty boring with the bottle shots!!  This is Chick Polish in Wild Rooster and Rescue Beauty Lounge Revamp.  This used to be called Black Russian.  I thought these two would play nice together.

I started with Rooster and an accent nail of Revamp.  Rooster is a gorgeous fire engine red, and as much as I love it, it stained like a b*tch.  Revamp is a blackened red with red shimmer. Here are the starting shots.

Aren't these pretty together?  Next I stamped with the opposite color using SDP-S plate.  Here is that step.

Now I did not like how this came out at all.  I was so not happy with it.  I figured I needed to do something to fix this.  So once again, I grabbed my Northern Lights holo top coat and went to town.  I finished up with my funky and all was right with the world.  Here are the results.

Oh yeah. My theory is a little sparkle always makes things better.  What do you think?

I'll update you on a later post about the Monday showdown at work.

Until next time people.  Any thoughts out there?

Nude? Check...

I know you are all tired of looking at my blog sale so it's time to move on.  I had 4 days off over Thanksgiving and I did a lot of manis.  One for each day so I could get caught up. I like to have several posts ready ahead of time in case life happens and I can't get to it.

Since I took so many polish out of my stash to sell, I finally could rearrange my brands into color categories.  My stash is separated by brand first, then color category-but that has not been completed for all my brands yet.  Let's just say it's a work in progress.

It also made me realize that I have many polish that I have yet to try out. It also made me realize that I still have WAY too many polish in my stash.  Alas, the reality of an addict.  Please buy more from my sale so I don't feel as guilty as I do!

Today we are delving into my favorite brand, Rescue Beauty Lounge.  Now that I think about it, the next three posts all contain RBL polish.  Go figure.  I certainly didn't plan that.  I just pick colors by what mood I'm in at that particular time.  It just so happens I used a bunch of RBLs over my break.

Here is your silly bottle shot.

This is Rescue Beauty Lounge Opaque Nude and Ghost Ranch.

I started with the Nude and an accent of Ranch.  Nude is a palette cleanser and also one of my mannequin hands colors.  Ranch is a gorgeous coppery bronze brown. Stunning.  Here are the beginning shots.

I just love how these two go together.  So gorgeous!  Next I stamped with the opposite color using my Bundle Monster plate BM322.  Here is that step.

I just love this pattern.  The houndstooth check is just so glamorous in my opinion.  I need to buy something in this pattern.  Like a new purse or something? Maybe new boots?  Hmmmmm....

I still felt this needed a little something and while I'm on a Northern Lights Holo top coat kick, I thought I'd add a layer of that for sparkle.  I topped it all off with my funky. Here are the results.

What do you think? Did the holo sparkles add or detract from this mani?  I personally love a little sparkle!

Now do you get my post title?  Clever eh?  Or just plain silly?  I can live with either one! You weren't expecting naked pictures were you?  That's a whole different kind of blog!!

Until next time people. Any thoughts out there?

Big Bad Blog Sale!

Ok people!  Here is the sale you've all been waiting for!  Please use my contact tab to place your order.  It is first come, first served. The prices are not static-you can haggle on any BUT the Lynnderella. We all know how HTF those are.  If there is a line thru the polish name, it is gone.

I will ship anywhere as long as you're willing to pay the shipping.  I'm going to have to raise them a bit from my last sale since the post office has raised their prices yet again.
